My Gratitude List
I got to thinking today of all the talented people I know here at home, who are highly skilled in one art form or another.
Which is why I list their talent as Five Good Things in my world: 1) Knowing someone who can repair your shoes 2) Knowing someone who can open a jar when arthritis limits your ability to do it on your own 3) Knowing a good neighbor who can help you thread a needle when your bifocal eyeglasses just can't help you see the eye in the needle 4) Knowing someone who can help you fix your car, when you can't figure out how to fix it on your own 5) Knowing someone who has the time to listen and to help you process your day or the things you have on your mind |
Five good things.
those out there that are risking their safety for others
Spring days and nights with rain cleansing everything A beautiful one day heavy snowstorm (beautiful to watch) my fabulous neighbors having almost all I need in life |

**mangos **avocados **the clouds building up, fluffy thunderheads in the distance ** lemon sparkling water ** sound of chimes as the breeze picks up After thought..adding fresh mint to water! |

- my kittycat - zebras - a phone call with my Mom - a Disney pixie dust moment - a personal tour of the Animal Kingdom zoo behind the lodge |
I feel like this is a really important thing to do on a daily basis these days no matter how small the 'thing' is.

5 Good Things
1) lazy Saturday mornings, time to sleep in and enjoy a late breakfast.
2) starry nights, with no excess light pollution. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/2owAA...CMz/s-l300.jpg3) the luxury of sleeping in my own bed. :stillheart: 4)an abundance of PTO (every bit of paid time off helps) 5)Sampling a new to me dessert, made by a Filipino owned bakery: Buko Padan (it is d e l i s h, and vegetarian too). https://c1.staticflickr.com/8/7072/7...afef3d11_n.jpg |

-Realizing it's been over a year in the new place and though the entire time I've kept waiting for the ax to fall it hasn't.
-While those I'm closest to might not have all they want, all of us have what we need to get by in relative comfort during this pandemic. -After years of trying I've finally found an affordable canned cat food that Monte actually prefers over dry that, though it could be healthier, at least isn't total junk food. -Having daughters in-law who seem to truly love my sons, are excellent mothers, and sons who are very supportive of their wives. -The tax man cometh and though it sucks being poor at least by the time he gets here I won't owe him shit! |
Making a See's candy Bordeaux knock off.
Vanilla shortbread cookies, dipped in white chocolate. Turtle brownies. Wedding cake cupcakes with ooey gooey marshmallow filling. Pretzels dipped in red, white, and green chocolate. Five really good things I'm making for Christmas platters to share with my lovely new neighbors. I'm so looking forward to baking. I haven't done this in such a long time. Did I mention, this holiday season is so much better than last year! |

Prenuptial agreement: Rico's attorney crafted one for us and we sign it later this month.
Spending time with my sweetheart and bonding closely as we both face life each day that goes by. A shared love for bicycle riding: We both love to go on extended rides and usually take a picnic basket of goodies to eat and drink, once we take a break half way through our bicycle adventure. Time to breathe and relax and enjoy life together. Rico is the proverbial 'chicken soup' to my soul. 50/50 all the way, that and more. I am so blessed and filled with gratitude. :stillheart: |
Having Jellybean sit on my craft table, just a purring away.
I saw a woodpecker on the base of my palm tree in the front yard. Imagine that if you will! A flock of Robin's have visited my yard a couple of mornings. Found out they fly south. I passed up ice cream last night! Yay to the power of will! I have beautiful blooms in my garden, peach hibiscus, pink and white geraniums and red gerber daisies. |
