The stupid, er stubborn part of me was out mowing lawn for 2 hours on Monday in my gym shoes and was too lazy to put socks on,
so now I have blisters on the back of my heels.
I'm thinking today I should be holding up a poster that reads....here's your sign :sock:

Butterbean 05-05-2010 09:31 AM

The sky is so blue without a cloud in it. The high today is a dry 91 degrees. The birds have been singing for hours. It is gorgeous today!

I must celebrate with coffee.

I had been outside, and was fighting off those darn chubby bees hanging out by the holly trees. Dino ignores them. I can't. Those bees are just drawn to me for some reason. No matter what. I feel like taking a lighter and Rosie's hair spray with me and just torching those bees. :piratelaugh:

PinkieLee 05-05-2010 12:58 PM

What's on my mind...

Everything but work! It is a gorgeous day, without a cloud in the sky, and all I can do wish I was sitting at the beach soaking up the sunshine.

*sigh* this being a responsible adult is no fun sometimes!

Just_G 05-05-2010 01:13 PM

What a beeeeutiful day here in Kansas City! School is done for the week, we made a big sale, I am spending time with friends tonight; patio drinking, and I have a big smile on my face today. It is a good day....I am blessed.

diamondrose 05-05-2010 01:22 PM

I am thinking about my much needed camping trip in 9 days. What to pack, things to do before hand.... oh the excitement is building!!

Gemme 05-05-2010 05:33 PM

After a morning complete with gray skies and drizzle, it's turning out to be a lovely day!

An ESL teacher friend posted this on her facebook.

What's happening in Arizona is not exactly making the ESL kids in Texas feel safe, secure, welcome or loved in/by this country.

Margaritas make me sleepy. But I was able to talk my way through it. *grin*

 They made an arrest, they made an arrest!! The Waldo rapist has been caught!!!

For those that have no clue...there was a serial rapist running wild in my neighborhood since last September....they got the bastard!!:clap:

He was released from prison after serving a 20 year sentence for rapes back in the 80's...they have his DNA and a fingerprint off the window sill....this man will not hurt any more of my single neighbor friends!!

WHAT A FREAKIN' RELIEF!!!

Altha Fay Kelly (Mar. 13th, my beloved grandmother and my heart)
Winnifred Rose (Today, the cutest, sweetest pug in the world)

good grief.

Well, Bo, it's not like he walked by the police station, introduced himself and they let him go.

Remember this mantra:

Bad guys hide.

They have been on his trail since March....just had to get all the evidence in order and make the arrest. I wonder if my friend Frog will get her shower curtain back now?
I am so relieved they got that bastard! They reported on the news tonight that he got beat up in the cell last night. Had to go to the hospital for bumps and bruises. They have DNA from cases in this neighborhood that were never solved from back in the 80's...he is going away for a very long time!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!! :riding2:

No more of this :hiding: for me dammit!

day dreaming about owing a Yurt one day...
a simple little structure with a loft, porch and skylight... nestled in the forest where I can listen to Spring Peepers or curl up next to my wood stove on cold winter nights...reading by oil lamps...

I figure, in just over a year, I've paid $13,125 in rent.... "Yurts Of America" sells their largest Yurt 4 Season Package (30') at $10,897....

After I would install MY kind of kitchen counters and do my own tile & stone work in the bathroom...and set up my "cabin style" bed in the loft...(a loft with real staircase & not just a ladder) I could live VERY comfortably in a cute little Yurt (as long as someone didn't pick the color pink for the outside covering!) I'd be tickled pink to live in a Yurt (but am not a "pink" kinda girl).... they say that they are as sturdy as a real house... the roof comes with a 15 year warranty....

LaLaLaLaLa.... I can live in LaLa land for now in my day dreams.... But I'd be happy and content as a little Lark....

Soft*Silver 05-06-2010 11:07 PM

I think I am going to need to go back into the hospital again because my back still isnt recovered from its last relapse. The pain meds arent working and my back is getting worse by the day. I am not liking the progression of this and fear surgery might be the only way to stop it...

JakeTulane 05-07-2010 08:26 AM

Sometimes you can not see the forest for the trees. Then you take a step back and it all comes into focus. With a better view comes better decisions and the knowing the ones you recently made were the right ones. Love that.

even the prisoners have some code of ethics: it is not uncommon for inmates to beat up (and, um, feminize ...) rapists ... especially those who rape children. I say this out of my experiences working with prisoners ...
goodie that they caught the bastard.

Gemme 05-07-2010 10:31 AM

I am sore today.

I guess the Turbo Kickboxing class really *did* do something.

I can see myself living in a Yurt in the woods listening to all those creatures that live in nature. And the sound of rain falling through the trees. Now that's Peaceful.
thanks for your post, Sweet. I enjoyed it.

I wish more State campgrounds would consider Yurts.... They would bring in revenue and can be designed for all seasons. And they are a rather inexpensive alternative to a family vacation at some expensive hotel.
