I need "thoughts and prayers," going to Costco later. The carts are already well over the 6 feet distancing parameters, they're more like 10 or 15 feet, right? Every time I go there, my list is short maybe 4 or 5 items, YET.....my bill is 3 or 400 and the cart is bulging with crap I didn't need.

I know, I know, We will eventually use the 260 rolls of toilet paper. We will eventually use the 5 gallon drum of Tide. We will eventually use the 70 pack of toothpaste.

Well, let's see:

1. I had to go over to the VA clinic and get some labs drawn this morning.

2. I took our big guy, Rocko, over to the groomer's for his lion cut and nail trim. I just got back from picking him up.

3. The lawn guy and the exterminator are both coming today to cut/trim the lawn and shrubs and do our periodic pest control treatment that we have done every 3 months.

4. I'd really enjoy a bit of a nap later on, after everyone clears out and it's just Dear Wife and me.

5. Dear Wife's got some projects (like her flower garden in the front flower beds) going on that she's been working on for the past couple of days. I may get "requisitioned" for some of that, which would be okay. I love just "hanging out" with my beautiful wife and doing little projects with her. :winky:

It's a beautiful day in central Texas today, sunny, with the temperatures in the high 70's/low 80's. We live on a hill, so we've always got a nice breeze going. :)

– laundry
– test the new roomba
– start doing my income taxes for 2018

Last year I planned on doing my 2018 taxes on Presidents Day, but that morning as I was going to make coffee I fell and hurt my wrist and ended in the hospital with a couple surgeries. That was a rough day and week and I forgot all about my taxes. Totally blocked it out. Well, I was reminded that they weren’t done when I didn’t get the Covid19 check. So I’m starting them today and will probably be finished tomorrow. Glad I have until July to do the 2019 taxes.

GeorgiaMa'am 05-04-2020 10:08 AM

After 10 days, it's my Friday night! Agenda for tomorrow is definitely visiting the pool. I'm so looking forward to floating and looking at the clouds.

Stone-Butch 07-01-2020 08:42 PM

Agenda

I have been searching for a decent mask for this virus stuff and I have 3 so far and they are all useless . One cloth one is so tight I can't breathe so whats the point lol. Anyway when the weather gets cooler I will go searching again.

You can make your own. You need about 20 inches of material and something to loop it around your ears, like hair ties or rubber bands. If you can't find a decent filter, people have been using coffee filters successfully. You can also cut up an old shirt or check Etsy because tons of people are making them. Just wash it before you use it when it gets there. Don't worry; there are a lot of options out there if you look for them. Here's a video that shows you 3 different ways to make your own with materials usually found at home.

As for thread compliance, I had a list of stuff to do but I went to bed crazy late and then my body informed me that it would not be wise to be too far away from home so I'm staying within these walls today but I've got a salon appointment tomorrow so come Hell or high water, I'm going to be there. It's been 5 months since my last visit so I'm happy to be going back.

Stone-Butch 07-02-2020 06:15 PM

Agenda

I was up at 530 so I went to the store as soon as it opened @8 to get steak for the bbq. I got fresh lettuce and tomatoes and bean sprouts and chick peas and cheese and green pepper and purple onion to make a salad for the next few hot days. Pork chop for tomorrow and steak the day after (strip loin this time). Ice tea.

easygoingfemme 07-03-2020 05:00 AM

Right now I'm drinking coffee and waiting for it to be an appropriate time for me to go mow the lawn. Feeling thankful for the day off.

Later: visit my father ( 6' apart) for his birthday.

My dog needs to go to the bathroom every four hours (at least) due to what the steroids are doing to him. He's drinking 10 gallons of water a day I swear. So I'll be letting him out a lot.

Later I will leave to go to Daddy's house for the night and I believe there is a lobster dinner being planned. If we can sit out in the garden and eat lobster I will be one very very happy girl.

Happy 4th of July!
Sounds like a perfect way to enjoy the holiday.
PS: Be sure to give the dog a nice meaty lobster claw to chew on. ...well, maybe minus the shell lol

Oh will love that. He's getting quite spoiled because I hide his meds in stewed beef. He doesn't have much time left. I'll spoil the hell out of him.

Gemme 07-03-2020 08:08 PM

I got everything I planned to do, done.

That's a first for me!

C0LLETTE 07-04-2020 06:06 AM

Wishing all my American friends a Happy and Safe 4th of July

Enjoy the BBQs and avoid the hotdog-eating contests lol

FireSignFemme 07-04-2020 06:36 AM

Helping Monte weather the storm. He'd just gotten comfortable with the 4th at the old place after many years there and now we're back to square one. Last night a few fireworks went off and he did alright but he was a sleep and once he's really settles in can sleep through most anything. I'm not sure how loud or wild things are going to get tonight or what if anything we'll be able to see out here in the middle of nowhere.

Well, not enough sleep that's for sure.

The agenda will go on..( go ahead, make it sound like the song from Titanic)

At dealership right now getting tires balanced and a car wash.
Fresh linens will happen.
Some food will be bought.
Manicure and pedicure, ahhh
Stuff around the house..water plants
Trip to post office

Maybe a nap will be included in my day off agenda! ( 16 day stretch till the next one)

FireSignFemme 08-13-2020 03:28 PM

So far my day has been lazy and mostly spent on the computer though I did get a little laundry in and a bit done in the kitchen. I might sweep and mop later today, will definitely water my little container garden and maybe take out the trash. Other than a little snacking here and there and maybe some television latter tonight that's about it. Oh and in between all this Monte will of course be wanting his me time.

easygoingfemme 08-13-2020 04:25 PM

Morning walk- check
Morning errand- fail- store wasn't open yet.
Work- morning was all peopling and paperwork and phone calls. Afternoon was a 5 hour Covid in the workplace online training with two other co-workers. It was pretty good.
Now, need to fix dinner and decide what chores to tackle tonight ..

GeorgiaMa'am 08-13-2020 06:12 PM

Work - done, more or less - still working from home
Laundry - about half as much as I wanted done, but still I made progress
Removed dead frog from carport
Played with Diva Kitty
Gathered supplies for a craft project and contemplated ideas for same
Listened to a BBC documentary about Ray Bradbury

I don't know what I'll do tonight, since the Braves are off. What did I do before the baseball season started? Oh yes, I listened to the financial news. Somehow that's not thrilling me tonight.

Orema 08-27-2020 05:15 AM

Tests

– Blood test to see if I’m still releaising too much calcium
– Ultrasound to examine parathyroids
– Bone density test
– Go to the post office to put some care packages in the mail for family in the D.

Feeling lucky that I was able to schedule everything today. I’ll see my doctor next week to go over the results.

Gemme 08-29-2020 06:22 PM

It was my sole goal to make it through the workday without falling over and/or asleep.

I was 99.921% successful.

LOQUI 09-10-2020 03:00 PM

To procrastinate to the best of my skills...being pretty successful so far!

Ahem...ok, ok I better go to get things done!
