Visiting my mom in the Nursing Home earlier today and giving cute little scarecrows to her and roommate who is 89 years old and full of spunk and I absolutely adore her. I also brought them varieties of sugar free cookies for them to enjoy. :cookielove:
They were very happy and I loved seeing them smile with wide eyes open like little kids. That totally made my day. :) |

Just came in. I was grumpy cause after a zillion years, I had to purchase a new tea kettle. I bought a Le Creuset, but hated it. It was messy (no comments ...). Took it back and am content with Chantal stainless :)
But, what really got me smiling is our first rain. It is the kind of rain, those fine drops, that you don't need, or really even want, an umbrella. It's not real cold, yet sipping on cocoa is just right. Sigh. This day has had many smiles and contented sighs |
I woke up to Bella, the puppy, jumping on my bed and giving me kisses and trying to eat the ear buds of my iPod.

After a long week just going to a two hour staff meeting then haveing the rest of the day off...I should have taken a nap but was haveing fun with the fur kids.Glad tomorrow is friday...yeah weekend!

I had a great day too! I walked a bit extra today (3 miles) and I was not alone. I have been sort of hanging out with a woman who lives close by me. We have been walking together twice a week and had lunch last week. Today we went to the library, a hardware store (imagine that) and the local art museum. It was a lot of fun. And something else, it feels very good to have doors opened for me, helping me up the curb with my walker, my packages being carried, etc. Tomorrow we are having a picnic in a near by park and she is bringing her guitar. I do not know where this is going and not worrying about it too much. My only concern is the age difference; 15 yrs. In the meantime just having fun and enjoying the company.

size 3-6 month sleeper with footie that have bunny ears all baby stuff makes me smile, what makes me sad is I can't afford to do as much for this baby as I did her Mommy at this time. |

Unpacking my suitcase, only to find a note from the fur kids and one from my sweetheart. Then, opened my wallet and found another one from my sweetie,,I'm guessing by now she found the ones I left around the house for her this morning, lol. And of course, I brought a picture of my beloved with me for the nightstand in the hotel. She is indeed my heart.

Rain clearing up and a crisp, sunny day emerging. Walking with my pooch at one of our favorite spots and conversing with other dog people. I saw a pelican take off out of the water after scooping up some food while there among oodles of other shore birds. The sound of small waves as the tide went out was relaxing and gentle. I smiled because I have been very stressed the past few days and this venture helped settle me down. Of course, my silly little dog made me smile as he stole tennis balls from other dogs and peeked through high weeds at me to see if I saw him take the balls to a hiding place. I smiled because I felt peaceful and like I am taking care of myself and listening to what I need to do in order to live a more simple and joyous life. I smiled while thinking about meeting someone special again... where the heck is she?
