The Time Traveler's Wife -- wins a top 10 award for the deft defiling of a beautiful piece of literature. if you've never seen it, please don't watch it. if you've never read the book, I highly recommend it.

Margot at the Wedding -- wins the most purposely obtuse use of a stellar cast.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Dates -- normally this movie wouldn't even be on my radar because i'm a film snob like that ... but I had a spell of seriously bad movie karma and over the space of about 3 months this was the only "watchable" (and I use the term lightly) movie on no less than 5 long haul flights. :| It was a baaaad 'Groundhog Day' like experience.

Harold and Kumar's 3D Christmas - never agree to a movie AT a stoner's house!
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull - got dragged to this one. I can't even begin to describe how awful it was, and I like Indiana Jones!
Jersey Girl - George Carlin + Kevin Smith should = awesome. It did not.

I was well loved and cared for while I was hurt and laid up, we started planning the holidays, and a really lovely sunday afternoon.

Please give me three things you do every year during the holidays.

1. I pile all the kids in my extended family into the car and drive around to look at holiday lights. Each child has a handmade thank-you card and small ornament. The tradition is each child picks their favorite decorated house and leaves the thank-you and ornament in the mailbox for the home owner.

2. Get out the glue gun (a once a year event) and make a homemade wreath for the front door. Usually manage to burn 2 or more of my fingers in the process. Also...wine is involved...depending on complexity of wreath directions...several glasses...until my wreath looks "guuuud, ya'll!"

3. Pick a child's "angel" off the tree at the mall. Then go back for another...then totally blow any budget as the last day approaches and there are still a few more on the tree. (damnit...simply can NOT abide an unattended/homeless angel)
