You're so bad! But since it's your birthday, we'll let you get away with it.

Kätzchen 09-18-2017 04:22 PM

I never got around to my supper plans yesterday, but I soaked a small bowl of red kidney beans in baking soda and water, then put them in a small crock pot to simmer over night.

So tonight....I'm using half of the kidney beans to make a scrumptious paste type of dip (seasoned with small amounts of garlic salt, sea salt and cracked peppercorns).... which I'll spread over a warmed large tortilla and add grilled bites of chicken, freshly grated parmesan cheese, and shredded deep green ice berg lettuce. I might even have a few olives on the side, too, because I'm craving olives today.

I've also been sipping on cup after cup of hot cocoa....marshmallows on top. Yummmm. :balloon:

Mopsie 09-18-2017 04:45 PM

I'm having the Mopsie version of Subway's turkey-ham sub. Meaning I'm being thrifty and making it at home. :chef:

MsTinkerbelly 09-19-2017 07:22 PM

We are heading to Panera Bread in a little while, I'm going to have:

Steak and white cheddar panini
Corn chowder

Nom nom nom

candy_coated_bitch 09-19-2017 08:42 PM

A frozen meal of udon noodles and veggies and a green salad with feta and smoked almonds.

Mopsie 09-19-2017 08:46 PM

A co-worker brought me some Amy's vegetable lentil soup to try. I wasn't sure about it just by reading the label but it was really tasty!

He said his wife bought it at Costco. I'm not a Costco member but if people are willing to buy it in bulk I guess that's usually a good sign it's pretty popular so maybe I should have had more faith in it.

Corn chowder is gone for the year, but they replaced it with butternut squash (my favorite) soup.

Fall is here, and the soup was yumbolicious!

Gayandgray 09-20-2017 09:20 AM

Tonight is loaded baked potatoes :hangloose::hangloose:

Gemme 09-20-2017 10:38 AM

Last night, it was Wendy's. Tonight is probably going to be pulled pork, potato salad and Hawaiian sweet rolls.

Kätzchen 09-20-2017 01:47 PM

It's clearly a very Fall like day, here at home, so I've put together a homemade cornbread dressing (minced apples, sweet onion and crushed smoked Almonds, dressed with seasoning and whipped egg yolks), and dressed and seasoned Chicken breasts. I've also made sugar cookies from scratch to bake, after the chicken and cornbread are finished roasting in the oven. :balloon:

Thanks for the compliment {{{ homoe }}} :balloon:

Orema 09-20-2017 04:26 PM

Progresso mushroom soup and maybe some rye toast.

FireSignFemme 09-20-2017 05:41 PM

Homemade chili. Well actually I used canned beans so pretty homemade anyway. Milk to drink - need something to put the fire out. Later watermelon for dessert if the supermarket still has any left. My son's been on the look out but no luck, so I'm not getting my hopes up. If one can't be found I'm gonna to cheat on my diet real bad and make/have peanut butter cookies. I'm only burning about every other batch now so things are improving. I can still hear my mother's voice - You don't cheat on a diet, when you overeat you're only cheating yourself. Way to be supportive mom! I mean when she said it I was like 5'4" and 107 lbs. Sheesh I sure wish I had that "problem" now.

Stone-Butch 09-20-2017 06:46 PM
