Keeping it easy

We're opting for something easy: spaghetti or tuna salad sandwiches. Why? Because today has been a busy day interspersed with several loads of laundry.

Cowboi 12-19-2010 06:21 PM

C'mon! We'll leave the Christmas lights on and the key under the mat. I'll be snoring to the heavens 'afore you can get here.

Mayo sammiches are best with a lil thick sliced bacon, a fresh mater and some good ole fat white bread, lightly toasted. Sprinkle a lil salt and pepper and Voila! Dinner.

Blade 12-19-2010 06:42 PM

umm then it's a bacon and mater sammish not a mayo sammish

That's halfway to a BLT. Good, but not the same as a tomato sandwich. I use light Miracle Whip and sea salt on mine with thick slices of tomato. Oh, heavenly goodness! :tease:

Luckily, they'll ripen.

Roomie came home sick and asked for an early dinner of hot pita sandwiches filled with ham and cheese.
Then.... I prepared more Steak Pinwheels to freeze for later.... and marinated thin sliced meat to make more homemade beef jerky soon.
To top my evening off and warm up the kitchen a bit, I made a homemade blackberry-blueberry pie (that turned out with issues) and a late snack of spinach artichoke crisptinies.

I am having an ice cold stegmaier beer brewed in my home town of Wilkes-Barre PA. I can't believe I found them here in Oklahoma. I didn't even know that brewery was still open.
