Then.....I see sick and wounded people in here. Feel better soon and try not to feel badly, Parker! It's physics; every action has an equal and opposite reaction. She made a bad choice. I do hope she pulls through her surgery with flying colors though and that you get healed up real quick.

:rubberducky:

She didnt cause the accident. She was driving in the opposite direction, minding her own business, when BAM! a SUV rolls over her, crushing her car, trapping and breaking her legs, breaking her hand, etc. :(

The little old man who caused the accident didnt even notice that he cut me off and hit me, he kept on driving - he was oblivious to me being in the lane beside him and oblivious to the crash he caused going on behind him - and when he got to his destination, he noticed the damage and came back to speak with the police, who cited him. :|

I am feeling better today, btw. I still have some vertigo when I get up from sitting, when I bend over, and when I lie down, but the scratches and lacerations are healing and the bruises are still there, but not as bad today. :)

For the curious, here is a link to my Facebook where I posted pics of my and her vehicles. Mine is the white SUV and hers is the small brown car with the door and roof cut off of it.

Also, here is what I look like with my "raccoon eyes" lol. My eyes were trying to swell shut so I have to keep icing them, The second pic is me opening my eyes as wide as I can.

So sorry to hear that happened, Parker...wishing you a speedy recovery.

OMG and your fur baby was in there with you???

That's a really rough situation. Hopefully, the family of the man will consider taking his license. That's crazy to cause all of that carnage and not notice at all. Soooo dangerous!

I wish you all a speedy recovery.

JustLovelyJenn 09-13-2016 04:58 PM

I am feeling like some self reflection is coming... and it may not be easy...

cinnamongrrl 09-13-2016 05:16 PM

Happy..

My kiddo wants to have a slumber party tonight. Chinese and a movie. Its all about the little things :)

Feeling sad for the list of NYC ACC dogs on the TO BE DESTROYED list for tomorrow and all the rest in the kill shelter who will in short time be put on the list. I have been watching a perfect little brendle bully guy for the past few days. Right now he is in the To Be Destroyed Unknown Status folder. Either a rescue will do a last minute frantic pull or he could be flipped to Super Urgent List (given a little more time) or he will end up in a trash bag before morning. Breaks my heart into a million bazillion fucking pieces. :(

Thanks Gemme - I'm feeling a bit better every day. :)

Jack hurt his leg jumping into the truck and if anything, the crash might have made it a bit worse, but otherwise, he came out just fine! With all of that rolling over ("multiple times," according to witnesses) after first being airborne, I'm so lucky and grateful that he wasnt killed! He had to spend 3 days and 2 nights at the vet for an unrelated illness (which was why we were on that road - heading to the vet), but he is back to his old self and that leg should heal within a few weeks! :)

Thanks for your concern and well wishes! :)

Gemme 09-16-2016 05:18 AM

Like it's my Monday.

Oh wait.

It is.

Crap.

Orema 09-16-2016 05:45 AM

Good. I lost a couple of the pounds I gained while on vacation, but I haven't started exercising. Oh well. Work is gearing up again and I have to work tomorrow, but that's okay. Maybe I can work from home. Things could be worse.

Tired today and a headache

Gemme 09-16-2016 08:11 PM

I'm really, really tired. I've shorted myself some sleep the past few nights, my shoulders are still rebelling from yesterday's workout and I have to get up early again tomorrow. Blech.

JustLovelyJenn 09-16-2016 08:28 PM

I feel flustered and exhausted... glad its the weekend.

C0LLETTE 09-16-2016 09:27 PM

I've just eaten. I'm feeling somewhat bloated. My eyes are not bigger than my stomach.

Gemme 09-17-2016 05:16 AM

I'm a little tired but anxious to get this day started and over so I can work on some craft stuff tonight.

Lecheloco 09-17-2016 05:25 AM

Great after some sleep, and even better knowing it's a short day for me

JustLovelyJenn 09-17-2016 12:12 PM

Today I am feeling lazy.... I am sure it won't last long. Lots to do!

C0LLETTE 09-17-2016 02:32 PM

It's a sleepy rainy day and my eyelids are getting heavy.

Jesse 09-17-2016 04:53 PM

The large diffuser is plugged in and sending drifts of vetiver and lavender throughout the house. I am listening to Adrian Costa singing the blues in Spanish. I am feeling great!

cinnamongrrl 09-17-2016 05:08 PM

Wore out...

The moon really does affect people. It's been a long and crazy day...

BUT

I got to lead the bingo today. And I volunteered to run games. Both rec directors hate it but the residents love it and want to have it more often!

I'm seldom a coddler....but...these people pay $6000 a MONTH to live here and I say they should get what they want...

Gemme 09-17-2016 05:31 PM

This.

I feel this.

Her voice kills me; just kills me.

Gayandgray 09-17-2016 06:38 PM

Good. :cigar2:

Happyfemme 09-17-2016 07:10 PM

Good and trying to figure out what I would like to do with my work schedule. I work full time as the director of social services, teach two courses at the university, and consult 10 hours per week for another agency. I am also working on my PhD. I really enjoy all of these work and education pieces but that leaves little time for anything else. My goal is to assess after two weeks. I will keep my full time position and my PhD courses so I will look to see which one I enjoy more teaching or consulting.

I bet teaching holds many rewards! One of my biggest regrets in life has been not following through and becoming a teacher!

RockOn 09-18-2016 07:54 PM

Pleasantly tired, did not over do it today working outside. In fact, I took a 1.5 hour nap today. The humidity outside was overwhelming.

Feels good snuggled into bed right now on this 10" serta memory foam mattress with a comforter over me. I have the ac on 66, the turbo fan in the bedroom blowing towards the ceiling ... it keeps the cold air circulating. My dogs are buried under their comforters. Poor babies got cold.

feeling peaceful and content ...

JustLovelyJenn 09-18-2016 10:41 PM

exhilarated!

LoyalWolfsBlade 09-18-2016 10:57 PM

Gemme 09-19-2016 05:47 AM

easygoingfemme 09-19-2016 08:36 AM

Happy but having trouble transitioning from Epic Camping Trip mode, which I was in all weekend while camping, to Back to Work mode, which I'm trying to get into right now.

Medusa 09-19-2016 09:01 AM

I woke up feeling energized and happy after an amazing birthday weekend! Ready to conquer the week!
