cinnamongrrl 11-06-2017 05:47 AM

Last night I made shepherd's pie. I add frozen green beans to mine and use ground turkey instead of beef.

My honey made peanut butter brownies. It was a nice Sunday dinner :)

Orema 11-06-2017 06:29 AM

Low-carb stuffed bell peppers and will have the same for lunch. Very good, indeed.

I broiled some steak and then sliced it up and browned it with minced sweet red bell pepper and celery, melted mozarella cheese, then stuffed it into two soft taco shells, and drizzled some Romano Caesar salad dressing on top. It was delish! :balloon:

LOQUI 11-07-2017 10:19 PM

Wrang1er 11-08-2017 03:41 PM

Try adding a tablespoon of honey and a few dashes of balsamic vinegar to your sprouts just as they are almost finished cooking, make a sauce. I created a monster when I made this for my roomie...now he has them at least once per week and sometimes begs me to make them.

C0LLETTE 11-08-2017 04:33 PM

i had bbq chicken and spinach with roasted garlic tossed in...was edible.

Thank you, Kenna. I'll have to try that. The first one I tried and I was unsure but the more I ate the better they got.

I've cooked them on the Weber grill in a special enamel pan directly over coals, and in the stovetop skillet with a little bacon grease to brown them (sliced in half)...
It gives them a smoky, nutty flavor and the honey hides any bitterness.

Orema 11-08-2017 06:23 PM

Half of a stuffed bell pepper and some mashed cauliflower. Some pastachios later.

MsTinkerbelly 11-08-2017 06:41 PM

We had beef dip sandwiches made with the leftover roast from the other day.

So good!!

Bèsame* 11-08-2017 09:34 PM

The menu was lasagna rolls. However, when he saw the ingredients on the counter, he said...oh good, spaghetti! !

So I made that!
Spaghetti with marina sauce full of onions, garlic, olives and a jalapeño pepper.
Italian sausage

By all measures ( I assume ) my gf is very beautiful, gracious, lovely, sensuous and all those other adjectives. I'm one very lucky kinda charming little devil.

I'm not about to complain about her cooking. I'll happily eat what she makes and lick my lips. I like good food but i like cultured sophisticated beautiful women even more.

I can't stand those lil suckers, no matter how they are cooked. Glad you liked them because I don't have to eat my share now.

:eyebat:

DC and I went out to Chili's and it was horrible for DC. His chicken tenders were rubbery and mashed potatoes were cold. My fajitas were good.

I had cherry vanilla ice cream when We got home.

Nope. I hate them. Literally. Hate. Them.

The ONLY way I can eat them is if they are shredded so fine and thin that I can barely see them and they are mixed in with strong salad greens.

Wrang1er 11-10-2017 04:27 PM

Steaks and roasted brussel sprouts. I had my share and Gemme's share.

Mopsie 11-10-2017 04:37 PM

I’ve made this sauce with Boca crumbles a few times since then. I brought it for lunch every single day last week.

I cooked chick peas in the crockpot yesterday, and today, I stewed them with tomatoes, coconut milk, and garam masala. It’s so delicious that I want to eat it out of the pot with a spoon.

Right now, there’s onions, which Pete grew, potatoes, storebought, though we had home grown last year, garlic, ginger, and garam masala in the crockpot.

I'm not going to have naan for dinner, but I think Pete will want some toasted.
