I liked your Chinese dinner. ....do you ever get Hot n Sour soup?
It's my favorite, as well as crab puffs, jumbo shrimp, BBQ pork and Mongolian beef!

Gemme 01-14-2018 03:01 PM

I honestly have no freaking idea.

Katniss 01-14-2018 04:09 PM

The plan was for sloppy joes, mini-tater tots and fresh sliced oranges.
However the kid had her teen friends over for baking and movies and there are several pans of brownies now sitting on the counter. I may or may not have just had a huge brownie and a tall glass of cold milk. That may or may not be dinner as it is now after 5:00.

Katniss~~ (If you are a betting person I'd say odds are strong for the "may" in those last two sentences)

easygoingfemme 01-14-2018 04:27 PM

We made a big batch of Cashew Chicken last night and there were plenty of leftovers for dinner tonight :)

No messages that I recall - although I do remember thinking that fortune cookies are delicious with Nutella!

I never get hot 'n sour soup - I don't care for it. But I really like all your other choices. If we ever see each other IRL, we should go out for Chinese!

I think Mary has some of that up in the cupboard! Your meal sounded wonderful and again before moving to Seattle and in with Mary my meal would of consisted of either something from the nearest deli or take out, in their container, and me eating it (with plastic-wear) over the counter/sink while skimming a magazine!

Gemme 01-19-2018 10:17 PM

Homemade Blueberry pie?

May I please have a slice?

FireSignFemme 01-20-2018 10:20 PM

Soft shell tacos, gulten-free. Somebody needs to make a better gluten-free flour tortilla. These are spendy, and though not the worse, leave considerable room for improvement. Now I'm waiting 1/2 an hour to see if I still really want dessert. If I so I'm going to use up the the left over pineapple in the frige and make an upside down cake.

Food is love

After a week of being leveled by the flu I can finally sit up without vertigo. I am also interested in food again. To that end my elderly parents drove over and brought us a home cooked meal. Roast, mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, rolls and a container of sweet tea. They also left a container of fresh baked oatmeal scotchie cookies.

It's no secret I have a very acrimonious relationship with my parents. I also know this act of kindness was aimed more towards my daughter than myself. But when the chips are completely down we look out for one another. We aren't big on words, more an "acts of service" kind of family, and sometimes that's good enough.

Katniss~~

Gemme 01-21-2018 08:33 PM

I had light chicken noodle soup with whole grain Goldfish sprinkled on top and a sliced Ambrosia apple on the side.

candy_coated_bitch 01-21-2018 08:51 PM

Mozarella sticks and diet Coke. I really need to start getting some actual nutrients in me.
