1. When was 9 my younger brother & I had a fight and I kicked him in the shin, fracturing one toe and spraining 4. My mother was mortified trying to explain this to the ER MD.
2. My other brother used my Beetles 45 RPM records as frisbees when I was 13 and I had to kick his ass too. 3. I can cut both human hair and my dog (went to cosmetology school for a few months before changing to nursing school). 4. I saw Gone With the Wind during a re-issue around age 8, and cried so hard during the "I'll never be hungry again as God is my witness", speech by Scarlett, that I disturbed other patrons & the usher asked my mom to take me out until I stopped crying. 5. I am very sensitive and do not at all have a thick hide, though I can pull off pretending I do, fairly well. |

If someone drives by my house and honks their horn, I will stop what I am doing to wave at the mysterious driver even though they cannot see me. It's a force of habit.
I do not like sweet iced tea, which is near blasphemous being here in the south. Someone cut in front of me in line at the dollar store today and I was shocked. It was the first non-nice and discourteous behavior that I have seen since I moved here two weeks ago. I stood there in shock for an indeterminate amount of time. This accent is trying to weasel it's way into my Upper Midwesterner ways. I am trying to decide between a foodsaver, bread machine, a indoor grill and a Bose iPhone docking station to listen to my tunes. I'll probably break down and get the foodsaver first. Baby doesn't like freezerburn. |

Ive started reading again after a ten year hiatus I'm slowly working my way through every PBS special the county library has I prefer to date women younger than myself I think about dying a lot (because of health issues I've had) and have a cemetery plot, headstone and funds for my funeral |
5 Things No One Would Know About You From BFP Alone
5 things...hmmm. Someone, (you know who you are) told me I don't share enough of myself and I'm very hard to get to know. Well, I feel like sharing now, so here goes. Can we stop with the Ice Princess jokes now? lol!
1. When I have a bad day, I drive to the Dallas Zoo just to visit the giraffe statue at the entrance. He makes me VERY happy! I call him Paul. I have no idea why. 2. My grandfather was a crane-rigger and drove the crane that was used to get John Travolta's character down off the scaffolding when he was drunk in the movie Urban Cowboy. As a result I met John Travolta AND rode the bull at the original Gilley's in Pasadena, TX when I was 6. I still have the pink Gilley's t-shirt. 3. I almost never remember movies I've seen and often re-watch them completely forgetting the plot or that I've already seen the movie a bazillion times. However, I am a walking music encyclopedia! My favorite band is Tool, which no one EVER guesses! I've seen them live 14 times and have met the band. 4. 2 1/2 years ago, I had a very freak accident leaving me with a neck injury that nearly paralyzed me from the neck down. I only had a 15% chance of making it out of surgery alive and a 10% chance of having use of my body. I have 2 titanium replacement discs, 2 titanium plates, 2 pieces of cadaver bone, and 16 screws in my neck. Thankfully, I have no residual pain and the only permanent damage is I can't feel the tip of my left index finger. Now I walk 4 miles every day and do Pilates at least 3 times a week to appreciate and remind me that I almost lost the ability. I am forever grateful to my neurosurgeon and send him hand written Thank You notes on the anniversary of my surgery. 5. I recently elected to leave what most would consider a dream career to pursue yet another degree and my life's calling. The paycheck just wasn't enough anymore. One more for good measure…My *real* name is actually a title meaning Lady of Royalty, hence EmpressM in my BFP handle! ;) *hugs* EmpressM |

I love snuggling with Simon in the mornings I am not a morning person. I dont get in a bad mood Im just quiet. I have to have time to wake up. Now if someone pisses me off while Im trying to wake up. It puts me in a bad mood and screws my whole day up. lol I drink iced vanilla coffee almost every morning from McDonald'ds cause McDonald's is in my parking lot at my job |

I dont know how to fish or camp. I never have been camping Im a big sissy when it comes to spiders and snakes I wont swim in the lake or ocean cause I cant see the bottom. I havent been to Six Flags, or fairs places like that cause I am scared of heights. And dont see the point going. |

I hate Texas Heat
I have to have my apt very cold most of the year. Never use the heater in the winter time. My idea of dressing up is some cargo pants and a polo shirt. I would never go to the opera, art musuem, or anything like that. Just isnt me. I am a huge cuddle bug |

I hated the movie Black Swan and the book/movie Eat Pray Love. I am not a chick flick kinda gal...
Every time someone says something about Black Swan I go into a tirade about how ludicrous that movie/character was. Friends and family actually mention it in public places just to get my reaction...witches...lol !!! I adored Readers Digest until i realized how conservative and religious their company is. I still read it. I just dont adore the company anymore. I want a bumper sticker that reads: See what you get, you damn Capitalists! I have a major sugar addiction. I do really well now but like tonight, I ate (I wont tell you how many!) chocolate mint hard candies...loved EVERY single one of them....and had to force myself to stop. Its like crack for me! LOL. So I have to abstain totally from candy or i get carried away. |

I love quiet time. My job is so stressful and fast paced I enjoy the down time with my thoughts My teen years in the summer I used to spend in the parts of Mexico where outhouses were bathrooms lol My mother was a police officer for years. She became one to find my brother and I after we were put into the "system" I chew Orbit gum alot especially when Im stressed cause I used to grind my teeth My brother even though we dont talk is my hero. He fought in the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. And my mother is my hero. |
1. I got to spend the entire weekend with my best friend. But, I learned something today that has impacted my opinion of her =\ 2. I am more excited about my god son's first birthday than I am about the entire football season. 3. I'm close to making 15 months. 4. I love giving and getting mixed CDs. 5. Im a Lil Wayne fan. 6. I swear like a sailor. 7. I'm not used to these new feeling, but I absolutely love em! 8. The only girl I want has gorgeous blue eyes and a smile that makes my heart race. |
