What made me smile today....
 

My oldest daughter came to visit me today. I must admit I am very happy that she is allowing herself time to heal and move forward from her marriage. She is getting in touch with her roots once again and growing stronger for herself and her children. Another guy tried to come in and sweep her off her feet already and she threw him to the curb when he raised his voice at her children and copped an attitude with her. I am glad to see she is setting healthy boundaries. She definitely needed it after the last jerk she had in her life. She told me today she is almost 30 and asked if I could believe it. I told her to stop making me feel old. Haahaa!! Yep! She's my girl and i love her to death. Hard to believe it has been so many years since she sat on my lap babbling to me. Daddy's little girl has become quite the woman and she does indeed make me smile.

Enjoying a drink in the company of friends , continuing the silly conversations, thinking about Easter / spring/ travel plans and a txt telling me that there is such a thing as easter themed icecream!

They aren't wrong :)

Today was a cold rainy day but friends came over so we had a jam session like old times then fixed hot dogs on the patio grill with a fue side dishes to go with them.
My son never stops amazeing me,I am really proud of him for becomeing the person he is,my pride and joy.

Femme Brunch! with the fabulous HRHs femmedyke, MsMeander and Miss M (not on this site).
And challah french toast with a berry compote was an added bonus.

Txts asking me to watch movies with friends using netflix and then grabbing a coffee with one of them for a long talk afterwards. I received another txt recently asking if today was a day that I could take for me to get some perspective. I think it is needed.

sometimes i wish for more feminine. that way i'd enjoy painting my momma's nails lol. i guess i really do enjoy it. makes me smile. i washed her hair and whatever else she asked me to do lol.

Knowing that I can be the source of good energy for myself and for my friends to tap into when they need support. I don't need another source but I am happy to have my friends and community.
