my new friend/neighbor....she has kindly offered to watch Jacques while Im at work...this is such a load off my mind!

a day off tomorrow.....my first in over a week....and Ive worked 68 hours since then! A day off will feel soooo good.

clean clothes....thats what Im gonna do tomorrow...laundry!

libraries.....tomorrow I will peruse my new local one....and hope they have A Tree Grows in Brooklyn...Im very into it now and I didnt want to ask to borrow it from my employer.

most of all......having Jacques back cuddling with me....he's been awful clingy....my sweet boy....

Thankful for another day with my mom.

Thankful for not causing bodily harm to the people who did not inform me about her condition after surgery.

Thankful for friends and strangers who are sending good thoughts our way.

Thankful for my employer allowing me to work a reduced schedule.

Thankful for the healthcare workers who are taking care of mom.

I'm thankful for a well paying job
for more overtime than I actually want, but very thankful we have the work
I'm thankful for good people in my life, the one who pat me on the head and say good boy and the ones who don't mind giving me a swift kick in the butt when I need it
I'm thankful God gives me the opportunity to help others
I'm thankful as well when He send others my way when I need it

I'm so thankful for the outpouring of support, love, compassion and concern after my fall yesterday. You all (you know who you are ;-) ) really do brighten my day.

I received so many PM's that my PM box is full so I can't respond until I get on the computer to delete old sent files. Please know I'm not ignoring you. I've just been so exhausted and sore today that it's made me a bit slow.

To answer a few questions until I can respond personally....
The leg isn't broken but it's badly bruised and swollen just below the knee ...both ankles sore from twisting...and hands/arms/shoulders sore from catching my fall. It will take a while to heal but I am so very thankful for many things....including my friends that look out for me and a peaceful place to take my time healing

I am thankful for my cousin, who is helping to clean out my fathers house and simplify his life so he can live better.

Getting into the office at 6am when phones aren't ringing, emails aren't coming in, and most of my work mates are still fast asleep.

Family and friends

I'm living temporarily with a male friend while finishing my 2 weeks notice at work...

Not only did he let me stash my stuff in his spare room, ge let me and my dog stay in his other spare room for a few days...

He also watches Jacques while I'm at work...encourages me to eat and gave me an extra heater so I'm warm at night...

Last night he stumbled through telling me he's in no hurry for me to be gone and that it was nice having me here.....sigh

I'm blessed and thankful for good friends in my life...and he and I do make good roomies. We are like a platonic couple but we think to do things for each other. The man has folded my underwear...and I his lol

I am truly a lucky girl and I appreciate the gifts from the universe...you can never overdo gratitude..

3. The ability to just drive away and go home when I need to.

Family, friends, having a roof over my head and being alive!

I'm thankful that I have my two pups here lying next to me snoozing. They are so cute!

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to teach such a great bunch of kids! I really love those kids! Even when then are less than perfect! :cheer:
