A School Nurse has written the info below -- good enough to share -- And it really works!!

I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best way to remove a tick. This is great, because it works in those places where it's some times difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark hair, etc.

Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. This technique has worked every time I've used it (and that was frequently), and it's much less traumatic for the patient and easier for me.
Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can't see that this would be damaging in any way. I even had my doctor's wife call me for advice because she had one stuck to her back and she couldn't reach it with tweezers. She used this method and immediately called me back to say, "It worked!"
Insects breath through their skin. This acts to suffocate them.

Please pass on. Everyone needs this helpful hint.

I think this technique would be less traumatic for pets, too.

I was watching the Today show and there was a segment on 'home made' moneysavers.....

The woman leading the segment made an exfolliation product from lemon juice and baking soda......making a paste and spreading it all over Your face...let it sit a few minutes and then wash it off with cool water.

So I tried it....WOW! It's great! It tingles and now my face is so baby~butt smooth!! I love it!

Weeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

A housewives tale says if you regularly use lemon juice, it may lighten any freckles. Unfortunately, I don't have any facial freckles to try this theory on but I think I may try that, just to feel the tingle. A good tingle is worth a try, I say. :)

Ok....I'm having a shy, nervous moment.....

But upon encouragement from Someone very dear to me, I have actually figured out how to make a video on my computer.... :| Said video is of me singing "Summertime".....said video has now been entered into the "America's Got Talent" meat market......

I didn't feel like I was quirky enough for that show, but it was pointed out to me that there were serious acts, too, and that I should go for it.

I went for it.
