Our brother is visiting - so we put him to work cooking for us, since he is a better cook than either of us!
Tonight: spaghetti with a very thick meat sauce. We all basically use the same recipe to make the sauce but for some reason when someone else cooks it tastes so much better! |

My honey made taco mix with onions and lean turkey and we had whole wheat wrap tacos. Tomorrow night, I'm back in the kitchen!

The typical French "réveillon", although missing will be oysters on the half-shell: foie gras on toasted Balthazar sourdough, grilled scallops in a bacon shirt with maple glaze, wild Irish smoked salmon with chestnut blinis, avocado with bay shrimps in a basil mayonnaise, endive salad with Roquefort, pecans and pear in vinaigrette, honey lavender madeleines with mocha/ginger chocolate mousse, and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot to welcome the New Year!
