There's a local chain in Albuquerque which makes fantastic, simple food. Their soups, I recently discovered, are made at each location by someone who specializes in making soup.
I stopped in today, and checked their soup for the day. Tomato Bisque. I love raw tomatoes; I love tomato sauce. I do not like tomato soup. I read the description of the soup anyway. It started: a parmesan broth... This soup was fantastic! I'd never heard of a parmesan broth. It's a thing; I Googled it when I got home. Makes me want to find parmesan rinds right this minute and make my own. Last week I had Mulligitawney Soup. I'm trying hard not to go there daily. |
Late dinner...
I just had entomatadas, refried beans and guacamole. (Those are like enchiladas sans the chili pepper). I should make these more often...

Steak, twice baked potato, and peas. Good Merlot wine to drink.

I had wild rice with edamame, gourmet mac 'n cheese, mixed steamed veggies and a bbq drumstick. I followed that healthy meal up with junk; lemon cake and gelato. Orange flavored water to drink.

Took Daddy out for a steak for fathers day. It was good to see him eat a good meal
I had steak, tater and salad. No I didn't eat all that. |
Chicken tenders

Oven roasted veggies seasoned with basil and oilive oil. And some salty lemon/lime peanuts for dessert that I bought at the car wash.

Cereal. Don't have much of an appetite for a meal.

Dinner
I made a Greek style pasta salad. Peppermint ice tea to drink.

Black bean burger with pepper jack cheese, thick tomato slices, pickles, artisan lettuce and light MW on a multigrain sandwich thin. If I left it at that, I would have been good but I had some low fat baked chips and gummy bears too.

I'm going to make Vegan Lentil Walnut burgers and avocado ranch dressing.

I had a sandwich that was at least 3 inches high, piled with artisan lettuce, fresh tomato slices, garlic pickles, light MW, pepper jack cheese and ham sliced a little on the thicker side, all on two thick pieces of sourdough sandwich bread. Gummy bears for dessert.
