MODERATION:

Are you moderating this thread?

Andrew has apologized, can we go back to the spirit of the thread?

Thank you.

Nope. I'm not moderating.

The whole point of the thread was to break the stereotypes without justification and qualification. I'm trying to understand why it's so hard for people to just say X without adding Y. I know why it's hard for me. I would like to know why it's hard for other people.

MODERATION:

Yes I know, you pointed that to me when I posted earlier.

What you just did had nothing to do with how you want to MANAGE your thread. That is very evident, so please don't even go there.

If you want to discuss my moderation I will be more than willing to do so via PM.

Thank you.

I break a stereotype everyday I wake up..

I am a loud, opinionated, woman....

In some eyes, women are to be demure....

I am proud of breaking that stereotype every day...

:)

I love cooking.
I love giving massages.
I love getting flowers.
I call myself a dyke, etc, but I'm proud of having tits.
I always apologise if I burp, even if I'm online and nobody can hear me.
I dye my hair, and I use bright colours ...
I will always stop and ooh and aww at a cute kitten/cat/puppy/dog etc

For years i spent most of my free time hanging out with straight white guys in bars and clubs listening to altcountry bands (Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams -- that kind of thing).

My CD's are more important than my shoes or anything i wear.

i wear a few outfits all the time -- rotating. i never have a lot of clothes.

i date femmes as well as butches. i love the butch-femme dynamic. It is effing HOT, but it's not the only dynamic that gets me hot.

i usually decorate my apartments in a sort of sophomore male's dorm room aesthetic.

i pay attention to the people who interest me. i will forget even extremely cute butches' names if they don't do something memorable.

i prefer beer to any other kind of alcoholic drink.

When i have sex people who like these things, i fist, lick, bite, slap, growl, and fuck.

i ID as a lesbian before i ID as femme.

i feel a strong sense of sisterhood with feminine lesbians (not femmes) and straight women. i think of them as like me in many ways.

i'd much rather be naked in public than dressed up in formal attire. (i am naked in public occasionally -- at leather events -- so that's not hypothetical.)

i like butches with curves. (A friend reminded me about that the other day.) YUM.

i take no prisoners when i argue.

i have no crafty hobbies.

i use no emoticons or anything online that twinkles, shines, or sparkles. i will increase my font to wish someone a happy birthday.

There is nothing babygirl or daddy's girl about me. i do not have the gene.

I shave my legs before I go to the beach.

I have no problems asking for directions.

Heck Dapper, I would be in the shower for hours and beside, my weed whacker broke. But I guess I will have to get out the big guns triple blade this year.

Gemme 06-01-2010 09:31 PM

I'm a femme who does not sew, is not a great cook (decent, but not great and I don't love it), and will kill creepy crawlies.

  • I'm a femme who doesn't get scrapbooking.
  • All my pictures are stuffed in shoeboxes.
  • I own five pairs of shoes and none of them have high heels.:blueheels:
  • Bedazzlers scare me.
  • I need help putting on makeup.
  • I have the world's hippiest (not hip) sense of fashion.

I worked at Michael's Craft Store when I was in high school. The Bedazzler was quite popular then. We actually also bought acid wash denim jackets for the store and featured them together on an end cap display. The flew out of the store on opening Sunday :|

I heart Michael's. They take my money regularly and I happily hand it over and I don't give a rat's ass if that is a stereotype or not. Crafts are like catnip to me.

I can do a very clean farmer's blow...:)

Blaze 06-02-2010 03:50 PM

Hi my name is Blaze and I am butch.
I can fix just about anything from plumbing, concrete, drywall, paint, fiber glass, tile, carpentry, heavy equipment to small power tools, cars, boats, lawn mowers.
But don't ask me to be your electrician. I have had to many hair raising experience, that were truly shocking...
But I do love to cook.
I love romance novels.
I love roses.
I love flowers grown or in a pretty vase.
I am attracted to very pretty items, being, rugs, plates, vases, lamps, bedrooms.
I love the scents of woman's perfumes but only ware men's.
I admire beautiful dresses on woman but would look awful if I tried to wear one, hence I wear men's clothing.
:blueheels: I also think high heels are so beautiful. But I would break my ankle if I even dared try to put my cluncky feet in them.
I am debating if I should shave my legs this summer too but I kind of like my hairy legs because they are hairier than my brothers and I always had that much over them, lol.
