Autumn

I love the milder temperatures in Texas these days.
I can actually get out of my office and take walks during the day without melting.

Cool gloomy rainy days where you just roll over and go back to sleep!

The changing colors, the cooler weather, but a really sunny warm day now and then, making chili, enjoying the wine harvest, wearing jeans again, planning for the holidays, baking more, getting out the flannel nightgowns, bonfires, and fresh apples!

The cooler temperatures, are so nice. I love the chill in the evening air, sipping tea while in my pj's, snuggling up below my duvet, the leaves changing colors, baking all my apple and pumpkin recipes, wearing my favorite sweaters again, sleeping in a cool bedroom (I don't sleep well in the heat).

Fall festivals, pumpkin recipes and leaves changing (but i hate the cold)

The smell of leaves that have fallen to the ground, cooler weather, pumpkin bread and pumpkin pie, and sweaters, these are just a few of my favorite things about Autumn.

I was noticing the long late afternoon shadows that Autumn brings...

Pumpkin muffins and switching to hot chai. Colored leaves that fall on the ground and crunch under my feet.

When I was a kid growing up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we had something similar to caramel apples, but the coating was dark red, tasted delicious, and of course had the crush peanut coating. Anyone else have these?

Those are candy apples. I always get one at the fair.

Today it is almost 80 degrees, leaves are falling and everything is perfect!

The leaves are almost gone..just a few left. It always makes me a little sad to say a last goodbye to the last leaf I see fall.

Wrangler rake or blow them into your garden plot. It makes a lovely mulch that keeps out weeds during early spring breakout.
