Look to the lower right of a post. There you will see the Thank button. Basically, it's an abreviated rep. You click it and it shows you did it on your profile, the recipient's profile shows they got thanked and in the thread that that post was thanked by so and so.

There's a Thank Button thread around here somewhere.....

I totally hate the feeling you get when you finish a book in your series after being totally consumed for a few days.....only to realize it will be a year or so until the next one comes out....sigh....

off to another series....

I'm the queen of writing and then deleting really longs posts. It's cheaper than therapy!

Yeah.... so I decide to paint the bathroom for the wifey.
I'm running around in sweats, a tee-shirt and barefoot doing my thing in my house that is a fucking fortress.
Yes a fortress:

I head out the back door to lay down some crown molding on the deck, so I can shoot it with my spray gun.

I try to come back inside the house, and the door is locked :wtf:

So off to the front of the house I go walking slowly and carefully because my baby soft lilly-white feet are tender. This is where the panic sets in, its 55 degrees outside and Im not from the south.

I soon pull myself back together when I catch myself begging the dog to unlock door. :dog:

I now realize that for the next 4 to 5 hours I am locked outside with no cell phone and the wife was at work, and only 2 things are on my mind: food and heat.

After taking a moment to assess my situation (while the dog stares at me through the french storm windows on the back doors), I head for my bass boat. I rip off the tarp and grab a flare and stick it in a burning barrel, get a chair from the shed, and a hand full of firewood.

I sat next to that damn barrel and watched the juicy squirrels run around the yard, I even had thoughts of eating a field mouse that skittered by.

Oh, did I mention that I was also out of nicotine gum?

I amused myself at the thoughts I was having over food, and my only regret was not having a gun or knife to be able to put something in the BBQ.
Ummm, Ok, over the burning barrel on a dirty stick.

I'm hypoglycemic and when Im feeling that bad, Id eat anything, I now truly know that for fact.

Aren't cha glad I put those chairs in the shed instead of the garage? :D

I'm surprised you didn't make a spear out of a big stick and spear a critter for lunch! :kungfu:

Maybe you should keep some of your survival stuff in the shed... or we could always turn the shed into our butch cave!!! :heavyweight: :training: :guitar: :drummer: :playingchess:

Diva 11-27-2009 02:34 PM

The Christmas carols have been on all morning.....

I heard a porn song.

Ella, singing 'Santa Claus got stuck in my chimney....'.....and....'please come again next year'..... and...' he's all fat and round'.....and....'neither up....and neither down'

What ELSE could it be?

And evidently, Santa Claus BROKE her chimney, cuz "Daddy built a brand new chimney..."

:eyebat:
Cuz that's what Daddy's do......

Words 11-27-2009 04:16 PM

With the TV Christmas advertising now well underway here in the UK, I really feel sorry for low income parents of small children.

£60 ($90 approx.) or more for a plastic toy that basically doesn't 'do' anything? The same amount for a teddy that glows? A little bit more for a 'durable' plastic camera?

With so many families living in poverty you would think that crap like this would be outlawed.

Ugh.

foxyshaman 11-27-2009 06:11 PM

It is the darkest time of the year, the time to turn my inner eye... well inside... so why the fleck can't we just embrace the darkness and allow our harvests to nourish us until the sun is reborn. Seriously I am not afraid of the dark, introspection or the fact that the sun is slowing sinking into the underworld, it will come round again. Fake cheesy happiness and mass consumerism...

good thing this is a random thread

NotAnAverageGuy 11-28-2009 12:17 AM

I NEED TO MOVE AND SOON

I am starting to HATE my neighbors, more now than ever, I am sick of things falling off my wall because their kids have no respect and some of the adults have no respect for the time constraints aka when its after 10 pm SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO TO BED

I am quiet, I prefer quiet, thats why I have no kids, the only time I am loud is when I am not at home or during football games during the day, come after 10 pm it is quiet time.

Gemme 11-28-2009 03:45 PM

There is no room for dieting in my life right now. The Cool Whhhhhip is full fat/flavor/fun. The pie has a slightly gelatinous sheen to it. The gravy has congealed into light tan jello blobs in the fridge.

Next year.....next year I'll think about dieting.....

NotAnAverageGuy 11-28-2009 03:51 PM

I wanna throw a damn ball through the wall but I can't

Hahaha.

I always voice over that commercial. It's so damned cute.

My other favorite is the Fiber One Cereal.

"You're a liar".

"No I'm not"

"You're pathological. You're pathological."

"If he was a liar, his pants would be on fire".

"Good point."

Have any of you ever got a :listening: stuck in your head and as you sit quietly reading or playing games on your computer, then unconsciously started to nod to the music in your head? Do you suddenly realize you are doing it and then feel stupid and self conscious? Does it keep happening anyway?

Sure does to me. :blah:
