So, keep in mind that, at a later date, she will need the addies of those that participated in the Passions round to get her finished work out to you all. Also, keep her in your thoughts for a speedy healing.

are you going to send out what you have for her?

If that's what the majority wants, absolutely. I was going to leave it up to you all but I was thinking I would. :)

I'm going to donate a piece of my pottery for our basket....is that ok?

Gemme 02-08-2010 06:36 PM

For those that don't know, Diva makes beautiful pottery! It would be a lovely and unexpected additon to our basket. :)

Okay, Passions round participants!!! Those who sent me your goodies....:giggle:.....I loved EVERYTHING you did! It seems that, as diverse as we are as individuals and as a community, we have some similar passions. Family is big as is the arts. We're so talented! :cheesy:

I got Rain's work this afternoon and will be sending the packages out tomorrow. If I don't have anyone's addy (for whatever reason), I'll pm you or take it from the package you sent me.

If you do NOT want me to send one of your pieces to hippie, please pm me and let me know. This is your work and will be distributed as you all see fit.

Since we had a surprisingly high number of participants bail on us, obviously there will be leftover pieces. Tommi, I think it's best if I send your leftovers back to you but if anyone else would like theirs back, please let me know by pm TODAY (I most likely won't have internet access tomorrow, so now's the chance to let me know what you'd like me to do or not do with your work). Otherwise, if I don't hear anything different, I will divvy it up so we will receive more than one piece by the same person.

Even though this round didn't quite turn out how I expected it to, I have been very pleased with the work sent in and very proud of my fellow penpallers and crafty types. You all do beautiful work and it's been a pleasure to wrangle this round for you that showed me a different (or more personal) part of you.

Please don't forget to pull the green string on Ami's work! I can't remember off the top of my head if she has instructions on the pieces or not, but I do remember that she posted a reminder a while back. :)

I would like to MAKE the basket. I have been a weaver for years and I gotta brag that my baskets are very very nice........ give it a think and let me know! Rain :rainsing:

Gemme 02-10-2010 03:52 PM

The packages went out yesterday afternoon. I think I was able to wrap everything enough to ensure a safe journey to each of you. I think that Logicaly's and Rainbowchick's work is the most likely to break out of everyone's and, if that happens, please let me know. I opted to keep the extras so that, if that happens, you can pm me and I'll get another one out to you.

The package to hippie hasn't gone out yet as I still need to get some info from her but everyone else that sent something should have their goodies in the next 3-4 business days.

Diva..I have always wanted to learn how to do pottery. Once I buy my house, I plan on putting together a work area in the garage to do clay work. Can you share with us how you got started and what kind of training it took for you to be a clay artist? In fact, I would really love to hear how some of you got started in and mastered your crafts...

I don't throw pots.....I paint the greenware, then it's fired. So basically, I just paint designs on the pottery.....I've not been doing it very long.....Fall of 2003.....and I wouldn't consider myself a Master at all...it's just a hobby.....it's relaxing. Thanks for asking....<smile>

I got my package today! WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! It was so much fun to open them up and lush over every single one of them! How creative you all are! I could "see" Logically's only thru my bifocals. If I tried to see it thru my regular vision lenses, it disappeared..lol. Everyone was so creative and each one was its own special treasure of passion! This was my first time at doing this and I am delighted and HOOKED> Now I cant wait for the Green One...I have some really great ideas that I hope I can put into dimension! Thanks again, everyone!

Woohoo!!!

I got my package yesterday ... I had to walk through 12.5 inches of snow to my mailbox at the end of the block to get it, but it was totally worth it!

I love it!!! I couldn't post yesterday because my power is out at home. I came into the office this afternoon to recharge my phone and camping lantern because we have no idea when the power will be back up and running.

It was 58 degrees inside my house when I left today!

Anyway, back to what's really important, thank you all so much!!! It was wonderful to open and "oh & ah" over.

Love it all. :seeingstars:
