Highlight - Talking with Chad about our fun vacation plans that are coming up soon.

Highlight - Getting alot done today at work.

Highlight: the trees are simply gorgeous as their leaves become vibrant shades of deep reds, oranges and golden yellows.

Highlight: the sky dressed in shades of pearly clouds, ranging from deep slates to mid-scales of gray to nearly cotton-tipped white fluff of magic, rolling across the heavens.

Highlight: making homemade oatmeal cookies with steel-cut oats, plump raisins, shredded sweet coconut and chocolate chips. The hint of cinnamon and Mexican vanilla permeating the air as the cookies bake in the oven. :stillheart:

Lowlight (yet, it's a highlight surely): working a12 hour shift tomorrow. The silver lining is overtime. Will come in handy for time off in November. : )

Highlight: I love the month of October.

High: it's Friday and I made through a chaotic mess of a day without offending coworkers too much. I am working tomorrow but it will but it will be a change of scenery.

Hearing about my son's first dance experience. :-)

I went to a production where the cast was mostly comprised of physically and intellectually disabled youth. It was great. I talked to the producer about my children joining.

Low: messy chaotic day. Anxiety attack. Neck and shoulder pain. I got snappy with coworkers. I got snappy a lot.

High-light: spending time taking care of pets for a friend.

Low-light (but yet it's a highlight): pearly skies, dense rain, beatiful trees.

High-light: I :stillheart: November.

High: I'm still on vacation.

Low: my ear is still full of fluid. It goes from painful to annoying. I just want to jab a pin in there.

Highlight: beautiful weekend with beautiful friends.

Highlight: Going for a walk/jog with Kermie...one of the cutest pups I know!

Highlight: Smiling :-)

Bummer: this cold weather!!

High: New job, new clothes, new things to learn.

Low: Nothing. I'm on a natural high right now.

High: I got an important project done on time :)

Low: Insomnia

High: lunch with friends

Low: hearng that little "Miss K" is not improving

High: Awesome convo about deities

Low: Cat missed the litter box

High: Still buzzing from a fantastic weekend.

Low: The Texas Gully-washers have made their way to Atlanta.

High: mile 4 of our walk the children started walking funny due to chaffing and clothing riding up. I warned them to dress appropriately. Lol

Low: early this morning my oldest had a pretty big seizure.

Highlight: The rain has moved on, I can see blue skies.

Lowlight: The 4th season of The Vikings won't be aired for another three months. I miss catching up on what Ragnar's been up to. February can't come soon enough.

Highlight: I :stillheart: November.

Reviving one of my favorite threads
 

High: I had a very productive work day with very little stress. (Rare)

Low: One of my meetings was addressing a client being let go from his job. He took it well but I don't think he understood completely. 😞

High: I had a great first meeting with my new boss.

Low: feeling melancholy.

I'm so overwhelmed at work. I have so many projects and no end in sight. I wish our vacations were sooner, but I'll hang in there for now.....

Good news is the projects are being completed with success! We had a Pride fundraiser last weekend and raised $600 for interpreting services, yay! I am coordinating 50 interpreters for comic con international and that is coming together smoothly, and my staff performance evaluations are nearing completion and I successfully completed a pretty big audit for one of our biggest contracts.

My cup is half full! :-D

Highlight: Wrapping up a project that came with a crazy deadline. Thank goodness it was a small and easy-to-do job.

Low point: Hearing that a friend has a benign meningioma on left side of her brain and will need to have it removed in the next few days. So glad they expect her to recover fully—100%.

Highlight: Talking to Cousin Al on the phone. He's an all around good guy. Very fly, very reliable, and very stable. An old soul.... We grew up together. We went to different schools, but we saw each other a lot on the weekends. He's a couple years older than me and would be a chaperone and chauffeur for my friends and I when we were teenagers and wanted to go to concerts. My father was crazy strict, but he'd relax if I was with Al. There was a lot of drama with our parents and aunts and uncles but never among our generation. It will be nice seeing him and his wife in a couple weeks. We'll spend lots of time talking about retiring from our jobs. :bow:

Low point: The fires in California, especially the ones in North County San Diego.

Highlight : my youngest son called me really early this morning, seemingly out of the blue, at 4:45 am. He was going to his second job, sounded really tired, but he's determined. I'm so proud of him. And it was so good to hear his voice.

Lowlight: drama at work. : (

Highlight: My boss. He is such a great person. He and his wife have nine kids: two of their own, seven of them adopted, all of them with Downs Syndrome. I feel super fortunate to have someone like him as an coworker.

Lowlight: my attorney for SS-disability told me that the current administration moved the goal posts again and that I don’t qualify for disability (when I am disabled). So frustrating. Not surprising since we all know cruelty and meanness is the end-goal for the controlling political party. :(

Highlight: listening to songs by Neil Diamond. I’ve had a crush on him since I was 9. My first husband looked an awful lot like him, now that I think about it.

Lowlight: The medicine I'm taking is giving me heartburn.

Highlight: The medicine I'm taking seems to be working and hopefully I will only have to take it for a few more days.
