Friday I saw a BobWhite Quail. I couldn't tell you how many years it has been since I have seen or heard them in the wild here

Sooo many mushrooms in the woods. I just adore mushrooms. I was reading up on them and saw a purple one I just wished I could see...and today I did...among many others.

A big copperhead in the road this morning

I see black and blue clouds with rain in their bellies.

I saw a flock of geese, lots of them, winging their way across the river, as I crossed the Willamette River over the Ross Island Bridge, headed to the west side of the city.

The inside of some stores and a whole lotta dollar signs.

I saw progress and I could not be more proud of My girl. :love1:

I got up early on this rainy day to take the dogs for a hike before work...

Not long after getting there, I saw a large bird fly up into the trees ahead.

I picked up tiny 7lb Bitsy thinking it was a hawk. When we got under the tree where the bird was it flew up and I could see that it was actually an owl!

I was so darn excited! I hadn’t seen an owl in years. I started making “who cooks for you” calls since I’m certain it was a great horned. But it never answered. Still, VERY cool beans!

I saw the bestvsight and that was my love sitting on the couch when I got home.

All’s right in the world.

I was up early (per usual) and watched the heavy clouds rolling on down by the river. They obscured the view of the hill that is past the river and I could almost imagine that I was back in the Blue Ridge Mountains...



Sigh 😔

I saw a beautiful sunset and a promise for another tomorrow.

I read a novel set in 1700s Paris and there was a guy called Tosspot who would hang out on the main streets with a contraption where a curtain was attached to a round thing and attached to poles. When people had to go, Tosspot would usher them into the tiny space, where a large pot sat. He'd close the curtain and wait. They would emerge, pay him a few francs, then he'd take the full pot and dump in into the Seine.
Good times.

I saw five deer in the yard across the street. This is the second evening in a row. They cross the street and head to the creek and then walk back. Beautiful creatures.

I saw ice melting in a glass of chai, condensation building on the outside. I saw my friend who dresses in all black wearing a striped t-shirt. It was black and grey, but still. I saw the inside of the post office. I saw how unkempt the sidewalks are on my street. I saw what I can make with my own two hands. Lots of things.

My thermostat reading 97 in my house when I got home even though it was set to 72. Damnit.

I saw a moose run across the fairgrounds while we were dumping our RV tanks.

I have been seeing all day long- an overcast, gray day with a good breeze happening.

Feels like a beautiful Fall day.
