1. I know the Rice-a-Roni woman--the one who sings "Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco Treat!" Longest running commercial in history. She's made a bundle off it. She also sang for Dinah Shore, and for Shirley Jones as Shirley Partridge.

3. I definitely don't have a singer's voice, but I can carry a tune acapello. Got some range, too. Star Spangled Banner, I laugh--ha ha!--at your high notes!

4. I've been cited for public nudity twice. Once at Black's Beach, which is a nude beach so fuck them; and once at Sea World. . . . :o

5. I can't swim but it doesn't matter because if I find myself in water, I become crazed with terror and I spin my legs as fast as Roadrunner's and rise above the surface and zoom to land.

* I have bouts of insomnia. I'm having one now. This is the
third week. Last night I slept about an hour and 40 min.

* I turned the oven on, it's been raining, only 72 outside.
baked a butternut squash from the garden. Chunked it
put it over quinoa and pureed some in blender and
poured it over. I never ate squash before!

* I take at least two showers a day.
* I still have two cars....haven't sold that second yet.

1. I am a geek - through and through. Dr. Who, Torchwood, Buffy, Dr. Horrible, Firefly.. yep. And yes I am one of THOSE geeks in that I go to conventions. (DragonCon to be precise)

2. I'm a fixer. Ever since I was a kid - if something broke, I'd try to fix it. This has led to a good bit of money saved over the years and is especially valuable since we now own a home.

3. I'm a Switch. Masochist and Sadist as well as Dominant and Submissive. Though more of the masochist / sadist variety.

4. I love turtles and always have. I even dream about them from time to time when things are stressful in life. Very interesting dreams.

1. Our house was destroyed in 1972 when Hurricane Agnes caused the river to overflow in PA. Now, the river is rising again and they are evacuating some people. I can imagine how they feel. Praying for everyone.

2. Our wedding is getting closer--only six weeks from Saturday! So much to do! Today I ordered black suede kippot (head coverings) with copper embossed oak leaves. Waiting on the arrival of preserved leaves for the tables, as well as the ketubah (wedding contract), which will be handmade--painted, paper cut, and calligraphy. We're so excited about all the personal touches that will make it special to us.

3. Last weekend, Candy finally met my parents. It went remarkably well. Incredible.

5. I recently discovered the joy of acrylic nails, and I can't see how I'd ever go back.

1. I'm a single mother, have five classes, a court internship, and I work part time.
2. Every night in my house there's some sort of impromptu music recital.
3. My student loan debt keeps me up a night even though it's not even that bad as far as student debt goes.
4. Six years ago I misspelled the word humongous and my children still make fun of me on a regular basis for it.
5. My hair is longer than it's been since I was a teenager and instead of hating it as I always thought I would, I love it.
