Did you see that Delta Airlines' in-flight version of "Carol" edited out the lesbian sex AND the lesbian kisses? Should we expect that all straight kisses will also be edited out of all in-flight movies? Outrageous.
If you want to see my remake of "Carol" that has all that good lezbo lovin' -- watch this: |

We watched The Lobster yesterday. I don't know why. I also don't know why we didn't stop watching the first time one of us said: "This is really stupid, why are we watching it?".
IMDb: Single people, according to the laws of The City, are taken to The Hotel, where they are obliged to find a romantic partner in forty-five days or are transformed into beasts and sent off into The Woods. Director: Yorgos Lanthimos Writers: Yorgos Lanthimos, Efthymis Filippou (as Efthimis Filippou) Stars: Colin Farrell, Rachel Weisz, Jessica Barden Rotton Tomatoes gave it a score of 90% and viewers gave it 68%. We kept watching thinking it would get better and that the critics thought it great. Us? Not so much. |
I saw Bourne yesterday, like several other people in this thread. Lots and lots of action, so make sure you don't have to go to the bathroom in the middle of it like I did. :bucktooth:
It only got a 57% on RottenTomatoes, but I thought it was more around 70%? https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/jason_bourne And I saw The Propaganda Game: An excellent documentary on North Korea (2015) by a Spanish filmmaker. http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV...82,268_AL_.jpg |
Five Nights in Maine.
2015 cast David Oyelowo, Dianne Wiest, Rosie Perez
Reeling from the tragic loss of his wife, the husband travels to rural Maine to seek answers from his estranged mother-in-law, who is herself confronting guilt and grief over her daughter's death. I had never heard of this movie before but came across it while checking out stuff On Demand. Great cast, great acting, but a bit slow! All in all I'd still recommend it:movieguy: |
I saw this earlier in the week. It was cute. It won't win any awards but it was cute and the kid that they found to play Jennifer's daughter looked just. like. her.
|
I saw the secret life of pets with my two nieces.
Zimmeh |
Dough
2015 cast includes; Jonathan Pryce Jerome Holder Pauline Collins
An old Jewish baker struggles to keep his business afloat until his young Muslim apprentice drops cannabis in the dough and sends sales sky high. Again, had never heard of this movie before coming upon it On Demand! It was entertaining and I enjoyed it:popcorn: |
Hello, My Name is Doris

So it's been a while, I saw this when it first came out, but I think this was the last thing I saw in the theater and did love it. I've always loved Sally, and there is some serious cute overload going on with her wardrobe in this one. :) |
Rush
|
Don't know what to tell you, babes...the film is called 'Rush' with Jennifer Jason Leigh.
|
Bad Mom's...it was wonderful!
|
I saw the new Ghostbusters a couple of days ago. Nothing spectacular, but good for a few laughs and fun cast. Also, my friend and I were the only ones in the theater and the seats were like recliners so we could lean back with our feet up. Good thing since we stuffed ourselves on seafood before going to the movie!
|
I saw The Secret Life of Pets today. It was a fun, cute movie.
|
Labyrinth of Lies (2014)
A story that exposes the conspiracy of prominent German institutions and government branches to cover up the crimes of Nazis during World War II.
Enjoyed it well enough........ |
I saw this this weekend and it was really good. Lots of action and fun bits.
|
Yes, I have to agree with Gemme... it was pretty good! Not sure why Rotten Tomatoes gave poor reviews. Dark & Edgy for PG13 with plenty of pew pew pew scenes.
|
I went to a double feature today. First, I saw this movie.
It was raunchy and funny as expected but I didn't expect the religious innuendos. Or food porn. Or Stephen Hawking as gum. That was fucking brilliant. Then I saw this movie. I was expecting a nice animated feature but I really got into it. The story is beautiful and the visuals are insanely fantastic. I absolutely loved this movie and highly recommend it. |
A short, charming film I found about a 96-year-old butch lesbian! Enjoy!
Its a short film about “an old butch who loves women and loves to talk about it!" The lesbian Hugh Hefner! A lively portrait of one of the most uniquely endearing persons that you are likely to meet. Full of life, energy and bawdy good humor, it’s a real treat.” — Ray McDermott, FilmRadar.com |
Pay it Forward. I hadn't watched that in years, but re-watched it earlier this week.
|
Day of the Dead from 2008.
|
Florence Foster Jenkins....and I loved it.
|
You've Got Mail ... still gets me every time.
|
The Brooklyn Banker (2016)Paul Sorvino
A banker with a talent for memorizing numbers is recruited by a mobster looking to get ahead. Moved a bit slow, had the 70's flavor to it, and the ending will blow you away! :hangloose: |
Ben Hur 2016
Saw it Saturday evening. |
last movie
I went and saw Ben Hur in 3D as well. Was fantastic.
|
I watched two of my favourite "feel-good" flicks this weekend...
Moonrise Kingdom and Flicka w/ Tim McGraw. |
The secret life of pets... cute
|
I saw Mechanic: Resurrection today.
I wasn't expecting an Academy award winning performance and I didn't get one. There were some hella awesome fight scenes though and that's why I went to it. I've learned new ways to kill someone, so it was educational. I did see trailers for some other movies that I am really interested in, like Queen of Katwe and Hacksaw Ridge. |
In the theater: Ben Hur ... Morgan Freeman <3
At home: Hope Floats (for the hundredth time) and Jackie & Ryan, which I loved for the music |
"The Enchanted Cottage" (1945)
|
This should be the last movie you saw:
My newest-- about accessible, gender-neutral bathrooms, and hooking up in them. |
The Man Who Knew Infinity (2015)
The story of the life and academic career of the pioneer Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan, and his friendship with his mentor, Professor G.H. Hardy. I really enjoyed this:movieguy: |
War Dogs
Loved it!
|
Angry Indian Goddesses 2015
I have little doubt everyone in this Community will like it very much. |
A Hologram for the King (2016)
A failed American sales rep looks to recoup his losses by traveling to Saudi Arabia and selling his company's product to a wealthy monarch. It was an interesting movie. Took a while to get going, but all in all I found it enjoyable:popcorn: |
Sully - Awesome. Tom Hanks <3
|
The Meddler Stars: Susan Sarandon, Rose Byrne, J.K. Simmons
An aging widow from New York City follows her daughter to Los Angeles in hopes of starting a new life after her husband passes away. I enjoyed it:popcorn: |
Double feature this afternoon!
First, I saw this movie. OMG. Soooo good. Soooo good. Hanks. Eastwood. Sooo good. Did I mention how good it was? I could find nothing that could have been done better, imo. And then I saw this movie. I absolutely abhorred the guy Jonah Hill portrayed so I guess he did a good job since the guy was a shithead. This movie was good too, but not as good as Sully. I did see a trailer that has me salivating for the movie to come out. Helen Mirren Will Smith Kate Winslet Keira Knightly Edward Norton Michael Pena I smell Academy awards. This and two others are at the top of my list to see. So excited! |
