So we still have a few vacant spaces available!!! Come on folks lets jump on the fun event!!!! I love the cards I received from the last one!!! And take them out and look at them everyday!!! It is a lovely way to feel connected to friends on this site!!! I actually get a kick out of seeing the handwriting too!

I am giving a great deal of thought to this next project! Of course it will most likely be another watercolor painting!!!

I hope all is well for my fellow penpallers this last week before Giftmas, as a friend calls it. I'm thinking about Diva's project and am excited about it. Today's a final job interview (yay!) and then some elbowing at Costco's and then back home to make dinner for my honey. I've enjoyed receiving cards from some of you and the season in general. Happy holidays!

Diva 12-30-2010 09:52 AM

Good morning, PenPal~ers!
Hey.....I'm really loving doing the collage-on-canvas thing.....just posted some more pictures of the latest stuff!

I'm going to get more done and then open an Etsy account, I think! I'm jazzed!

I kneel in my mind! lol There's no one here to help me up! ;)

And I know what You mean.....I'm the same way!
Still working on my Sketchbook Project, doing canvasi, TOO!
And once the SP is out the door (by the 15th) I'll begin the Heartless/Redless thing.... :D

nycfem 12-30-2010 11:21 AM

My 12 heartless/redless Valentines are almost done after two days of embracing my muse. Well... it didn't start out that way. Here's how it went:

1. Think to myself: "I'm sure that hearts and the color red aren't going to be hard to work around. Valentine's Day isn't all about hearts and red." This will be easy.

2. Look at my Valentine craft supply box and see that just about nearly everything has either hearts or red and usually both!

3. Go into a funk. Curse that wrangler who is going to actually make me think and do something more meaningful :fastdraq:

4. Get tired of pity party and remind self how scared I was during the project Ami wrangled where she sent us the supplies we had to use. That ended up being my favorite project ever because it broadened my horizons. After I'd finished my projects, I ended up buying more of the supplies she'd sent so that I could continue using them on my own!

5. Play around with ideas. MUSE HITS. Compulsively serve my muse, as that's what it becomes, right? Hours pass, days pass :vigil:. Obsessively order one supply item that I am visualizing from CafePress that will finish the projects off.

6. Think to self: "Diva's magic works in mysterious ways." (f)

Diva 12-30-2010 11:45 AM

I think "Curse The Wrangler" was an old Gene Autry song from 1949 or so....

my muse was the paper collection "breathless" by bobunny (I think) though I dont think I actually used any of the paper from that collection.

then I found a stamp I loved at stampington & company
and worked around that

Gemme 12-30-2010 10:00 PM

I haven't started nary a one of the Heartless/Redless project, though I can visualize what I would like them to look like perfectly.

Unfortunately, reality NEVER checks the pictures in my mind before coming into existence.

Happy almost New Year!
