Coming home from volunteering at the hospital and having Lucy, Fred & Ricky run to greet me like I'd been gone a month and I was the best thing since sliced bread to them!

:praying:

Soft*Silver 10-02-2010 09:34 PM

while I was out with my daughter, we stepped into a public restroom. I took off my coat and my daughter, who had been looking in the mirror, spun around and grabbed me and made me turn toward her so she could look at me. She asked me if I had a tummy tuck! I lifted my sweater and showed her my 4 incision marks where I had my surgery and told her THEY were responsible for my new figure.

Tonight I wore my tightest fitting pants from five years ago. I literally slid into them and had to curl and fold the waist line (which is button and zippered) around a couple times to make them stay up.

I need to buy new clothes and yet dont dare because it is still coming off.

the biggest miracle is how I dont have an "apple" belly, as one of my exes use to call it (which really hurt my feelings)..its slim and flat, which is why my daughter asked me if I had a tummy tuck. NO more roundness.

I am unable to believe what I see in the mirror...but I do believe how I feel. My health is SO much better!

Soft*Silver 10-02-2010 09:36 PM

this day just got more joyful! Superfemme is home and out of ICU!

First, two horrifically evil people tried to pull my heartstrings and make me want the cutest lil black Chi-doxie doggie. The doggie was in on in too. Though I think he's precious and adorable and he has fantastic taste, we're in no place to have a pet now. But I appreciated the effort and had a good time with the furbaby.

Second, I met a new friend tonight and she rocks.

Three, Organic got stomped in Uno.

Leaning out the half door located in the vestibul on the train, while smoking and drinking a coctail (something I never thought I would do)

*No, I'm not tipsy, there is an art to walking on a moving train in heels*

*No.. you will smear my lipstick*

Feeling very 40's from my head to my toes...

Time well spend with my lover... giggle.. on a train filled with seven day adventist.. giggle...

Spending a few minutes with the neighbor's puppy who came over to play with Bella. I think they will be best friends. They had a great time and it was so nice to sit and watch them. She even shared her toys!!!!

The early morning ritual of The Running of the Hallway that I get to see as the menagerie runs gleefully to their respective places (Lucy to the back door to go out, Ricky & Fred to their perches waiting to be fed).......it makes me laugh every morning because they are so full of joy to start their new day!

Ummmm lemme think................oh yeah I had plenty of work today that was joyful.

Miss Scarlett 10-04-2010 06:34 PM

Britches (my boss's dog) came to work today. We had a wild time after the boss left for Court. Poor little fella was so tuckered out that he crashed and didn't move for a couple of hours. We had an awesome walk at lunch. It was a beautiful afternoon and neither of us was in a hurry to go back inside.

jenny 10-04-2010 06:50 PM

...my day was made by not one, but several very, very thoughtful friends. I am such a lucky girl.

Margaret Cho's big gay pride dance in a rainbow dress on Dancing with the Stars tonight! And I'm glad she said something about all the recent suicides of gay people.

I love this show and would totally dance on there if I could. :)

Well it didn't happen as planned. I went for tests today because they think I may be diabetic, so they want to determine that before even thinking about putting Me on hormones. I will find out the results on Friday, and just pray that things come out well because if they do then this Friday will be the actual day I get My very first T shot ............. I'm so excited yet nervous as all hell :seeingstars:

I loved her outfit and how she brought attention to whats been happening with the recent suicides of gay teens due to bullying. I was never bullied for being gay (cuz I wasn't out in high school) but was teased and tormented due to My weight so I know how horrible being bullied can be ......... I agree with her, it needs to end NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

This weather we're having here in Austin Town is the kind of weather that makes You wanna run out into the front yard spinning around, singing "The hills are alive....with the sound of music....."

Making some headway on getting my sleep cycles back in order! Have to say that my post-menopausal years along with chronic pain issues have both contributed to my sleep being very crazy! Been really difficult. So, I keep trying! One joyful step.....

I am my Father's daughter

Breakfast with a stranger.

We went down to the hotel lobby for the free breakfast. Well there is also a tour group staying here, so the tables were all full. One lady was just reading her paper, taking up a table for four and another gentleman was just having coffee, at a table for four. I was grrrrrr. The gentleman having coffee saw me trying to find a table for me and The Boy and offered that we could join him. What wonderful company.

Turns out he is a native to Savannah (he was in his early/mid 60s, and I'm pretty sure gay). He is one of the tour guides for the group. What a witty, honest, open wealth of information. He recommended a restaurant that we will have lunch at today that was an old bording house and still serves meals at big tables where you gather with new friends. He told us the best place to catch the dolphins over on Tybee Island....for free. Told us stories and 'inside' history about Savannah. Just a truely delightful gentleman.

Made the entire trip! What a positive way to start the day. May his hospitality and kindness be returned to him ten-fold.

I haven't been in the planet for awhile. That was obvious when I logged in today and had many birthday greetings and wishes!

Thank you to everyone who left me a message! It would have been nice to get the messages on my birthday but it was even better to get them today when I am a bit under the weather. Thank you for making my day a brighter one!

Talking with friends...

The pair of barred owls calling to each other in the woods outside my apartment...

The raven (definitely NOT a crow) I saw in downtown Concord this afternoon. It was sitting on top of the old Courthouse announcing its presence at the top of its lungs.

On my drive home I saw a squirrel performing a high wire act (sans net) over East Blvd...it was carrying what looked like a hickory nut in its mouth...

Also on the drive home, the very large black dog halfway out of the sun roof of a Smart Car...looked like something from a parade...LOL

The unexpected gift of a small, intricately carved rhinoceros from a friend...

I went to my favorite restaurant/store, the Flaming Ice Cube (they are on the web). I found some incredible earrings I really really want and will be able to buy if I land this job I recently interviewed for. It sells insence and soaps and oils so when you go in, you get coated with all the scents and all the way home, you are intoxicated by the smells that continue to linger...

sweetfemme247 10-05-2010 08:36 PM

:crap:Due to various circumstances I found myself aboard the municipal robo truck today watching the sewer cam snaking through the sewers, upstream amongst downflowing turds and wads of toilet paper flowing in real time as people flushed toilets, measuring the spaces between lateral pipes, etc. Many spiders live under our streets, and white outcroppings of some sort of fungi or bacterial colonies. The fellows operating the sewercam were quite amusing in their assessments of the view: "That guy's got a bad ass" (lol) upon passing a particularly congealed and discolored lateral. It was quite fascinating to view the sewage system under the streets- it's amazing how simple low-tech (gravity) engineering so effectively transports our waste to the municipal treatment authority and keeps us clean and healthy mere inches from our homes. A glimpse of something so essential yet seldom seen (at least by me). Fascinating and fun! :crap:

I love places like that - two of my local favorites (both on the web) are The Bag Lady here in Charlotte and Little Feather in Concord. Another favourite, but alas not on the web, is Seven Silver Seas in Maggie Valley. Everything from Little Feather, especially the bags and tissue, smells like the shop. When my boss's dog and I stop in at lunch the scent from the shop gets in his fur and he smells so yummy! Little Feather is the "happy place" of downtown Concord. The energy in there is amazing. If I am having a difficult day all I have to do is walk in the door and the ick disappears.

Sending you loads of positive energy and well wishes concerning the job interview.
