Oh my gosh, ok so when my Italian Greyhound, Gus gets really hyper, he runs around at light speed everywhere. Today he was running through the kitchen and slid across the hardwood in slow-mo and into a wall. No worries, he wasn't hurt, but it was hilarious. I wish I had a video.

i smiled when SHE called and said she would be home early and SHE wanted me dressed in 50's fashion to go for a chocolate malt at a drive in. i am so happy i could yell. i did yell and clap.

Having a unexpected friend pop in to visit me. Even though I am feeling under the weather, that's always nice. :)

Seeing the kids in our homeschool group gush over their year books and asking all of the parents to sign, as well as having their friends writing all over the pages.
Blowing bubbles for screaming squeeling kids chasing them and popping them, no matter if they were 4 or 16 years old. My sweet little 4 year old buddy from the school group sitting on my lap quietly blowing bubbles when he got tired out. |
What made me smile today was something of simplicity.
I made Mom and Dad Orange Beef and Broccoli for lunch. I know I am blessed to have them at this juncture of my life and will do all I can to cherish each day. |
Finding out that the man who murdered my sister-in-law has finally been convicted...and knowing that her kids can have some closure and remember their mother in happier times.... :)
I'm so grateful to the Worcester police who never stopped working to solve her case... |
I just stepped out on the porch to let the little people in and I heard crunch crunch crunch coming from my bird feeder. Yes I know birds are asleep this time of night. I picked up a solar light, pointed it at the tree where the feeder is and sitting on the feeder was a flying squirrel, eating away at the seed and corn in the feeder. Yeah, that'll make anybody smile.

Knowing that the ParentalUnit and those in tow made it safely to Tennessee. The ParentalUnit calling to check-in with me. Phone conversations into the wee hours of the morning. Text messages. The ParentalUnit seems to be enjoying his "first" trip away from home. My one and only nephew graduates from high school today the commencement starts in less than 90 minutes. :cheesy: |

Accidently coming across an estate sale and on the way home stopped buy an estate auction that I figured would already be over. Got some good deals and missed a few good deals as well. But it's all good, I'm pleased with my purchases.

Waking up to an email and I was on my first cup of coffee getting a text. Then a phone call that I didn't think was happening today. The little things that she does make me smile and feel important to her.

I managed to get all tough & butch with my electric screwdriver & some other tools that I don't the names for, and took down the mini blinds that were on my patio door ... all by myself. And now, sitting in my living room looking out the lovely french door to see my patio in the trees - gorgeous. I must live in the best treehouse apt in the world. I'm pretty sure I do.
