sweating.... working out and being drenched head to toe in sweat, makes me unremarkable happy....


on the down side, i cannot find my hear phones. grrrr

waking up to the sounds of my little dog, Cricket, snoring like a line backer :)

One day closer to a long holiday weekend :)

While on the eliptical at the gym, I was tiring and ready to quit and move on to the weight circuit.I just wasn't feeling it today; the front of my calves have been sooo achy..but this lovely older woman, about 60ish, gets on the machine near me and starts kicking some eliptical butt! I felt like I HAD to keep going then and did another 10 minutes or so....

Afterwards, I was doing upper body and core in the circuit training section and I happened to see the same woman. I told her how she had encouraged me to keep going and she was so sweet and appreciated hearing that! Then she tells me she works out to keep her figure good for polka dancing! (we have a large Polish populous in the area) And that she's not 60 at all. She is 82! I told her she looked good for ANY age! She told me exercise is a life thing and it will make everything better...and then she squeezed my chin and told me I was beautiful. I think I nearly welled up with tears. It's the closest thing I've had to a grandmother in years...

It's so good to randomly meet nice people :)

I do believe I smiled today ------> :) Just had a rough week or two lost a friend to a heart attack due to living a unhealthy lifestyle, family issues, seeing another friend throwing away his life, while I have to fight for mine, Getting blamed for the demise of someone elses relationship. ( I was just being a friend and listening) The list goes on. But cannot worry and have no control over but one of these issues..The family one. So my smile is back and now I must TCB.

Knowing she's gonna be surprised by the Orchid's I sent to her work to celebrate her almost being done with the school year.

Knowing I'm surprising her by being at her house 5 hours earlier than she plans on Friday so she comes home to me in an apron & heels and nothing else with dinner on the table.

Knowing I have the entire long weekend with her, not just our standard 36 hours like most weekends.

Knowing she loves me as I love her.

How could I NOT smile, when I'm so blessed.

Shopping on my lunch break.... and actually finding a bathing suit that I like, that I am comfortable in and that didn't cost a fortune! :)

I am green with envy, PinkieLee! That is my least favorite clothing item to shop for. I order them online and when they arrive I find the quietest, darkest spot in the house to try them on so no one can hear the screaming and sobbing. True story! ;)

What made me smile today was a comment heard at my house:
"I am under construction. God isn't done with me yet."

Earlier I posted that I am very silly - - mostly because I kept refreshing my email to see if some had emailed me back. However, since I have never emailed this woman before the chances that my email went to her junk mail is pretty good. Chances are she won't even see it! Oh - I m so incredibly silly.
While I was shaking my head over what happens? I get rep points for stati g the obvious. But it was a very sweet note. :)

I bought a really pretty dress for my job interview in Los Angeles tomorrow. Yay! Looking forward to wearing it and having a good interview!

Baby Daddy (a very dear friend who LOVES my child maybe just a teeny bit more than he loves me) was right on time with some words of love and support for me when I really needed it. He is the most wonderful man that all men (fuck it... humans) should aspire to be like.
