Humidity: 90% Precip: 60 to 90% for the next several days We have had torrential downpours the last couple of weeks, especially over the last 5 or 6 days. Some streets around my neighborhood are so flooded the water is nearly to the top of the mailbox posts. 4 or 5 areas have been evacuated. We seem to be over the worst of it, but we are still getting heavy rain a couple of times each day. |

Yesterday it was 99* with the heat index of 105.It my rain today but will still be hotter than hells kitchen.

It is dark and overcast outside, and has just now started to rain. High right now is 72 degrees. Looks like it is supposed to let up on the rain around noon time. The day high should be somewhere around 88 degrees. Not bad after the heat wave we have had.

I just checked the daily weather report, Shreveport is expected to have the high of 100* today, and that's with out the heat index...ouch!

71 degrees now. High of 86 today. Humidity is high now. It's supposed to drop a bit as the day progresses and then pop back up again after dark.
I hope there's a breeze today. Yesterday wasn't as bad as previous days due to the breeze. |

I'm slated to start a long road trip, on wednesday, from eastern Canada cross continent to California...I look at the weather maps and it's like a mine field of weather disasters no matter which route I choose.

Well folks, it's STILL raining in Florida...going on 2 weeks straight now. Many sections of Tampa Bay are under water, likewise out my way. The airport is closed for incoming flights until further notice. Just a couple of miles from me, over 300 people are under mandatory evacuation as of today. Streets are buckling. It's crazy! Hopefully this front that has been hanging over us will crank up and head out by tomorrow or Wednesday.
I wish we could send some of this water to the people in California. Ya'll stay safe out that way! Oh I thought I would share a pic of what Florida looks like now. :) http://i.imgur.com/jvbWmVD.jpg |
The weather folk said today was supposed to be cooler than yesterday. Yesterday it was 85. Today it is 87. Still dont understand that new math. :glasses: It humid. Windy. Storms are somewhere or coming or passing or north or south or intense or hit and miss or threat of tornados or........ :seeingstars: I think they are just pulling stuff out of a hat or elsewhere. Jesse, stay safe. Corkey, our weather seems to come directly from your way. So whats up for the next few days? |

Hot and sticky. The kinda, sorta, maybe, hit or miss storms hit in waves this a.m. The thunder shook the windows, the lightening was impressive, the wind knocked out power and downed branches. Very little rain tho. |
Today is HOT! You can feel waves of it rolling off the asphalt. There is a little breeze.

Its been cloudy with a cool breeze all day and now its chilly tonight, I know some of you are sweltering and I should be glad its nice and cool but really...we have had maybe 2 weeks of hot sunny days this year so far, :blink:
