I am interested in wrangling a jewelry exchange. Like making amateur jewelry. It would be the same format as always. If ten people signed up, then you would each send me nine pieces of jewelry that you made, and by jewelry I really do mean you don't have to know what you are doing! Does that interest people or not?

Deadline for sign-up: Aug. 15th.
Deadline for mailing your projects to me: End of September
DO NOT send me your package in a way that requires that it needs to be signed for! UPS without signature is what works the best for me (and thank you).

How it works: See how many people are participating and you will make one piece of jewelry for each person participating (minus yourself). You will send all of your pieces of jewelry to me (PM for my address if you don't have it). Then I will make packages so that you get one piece of jewelry from each person participating. So that everyone knows who made each piece, please put each piece of jewelry in a see-through zip loc bag and put a sticker with "From" followed by your name on it. If you want to specify who gets which piece of jewelry that you make, write that information on the sticker as well (Don't send me a list.). If you don't care who gets what just write on the sticker who it is from and I'll decide who gets what. Please don't send me fragile pieces with tons of packaging materials.

Please don't be intimidated if you've never made jewelry before or don't have the money to buy the supplies you'd ideally want! The idea is to have fun and be creative, not to produce something we'd see at a store. This is a nonjudgmental crowd who will love whatever you come up with whether it's super simple, weird, childlike, unusual, traditional, or whatever! What's fun about these projects is that usually everyone interprets the project differently!

Please send me five dollars for postage.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Amiyesiam told me about this cool exchange! I wish I thought I could squeeze in making 10 pieces of jewelry right now...I just can't see it being possible...I have several pieces in the midst of repairs, and I am making my own jewelry for reunion...Plus, I have two trips before LR, one this weekend, and one August 17th to Port Townsend Wa. The minutes are just ticking away so quickly!

I really hope you do this one again after September, I find it inspiring and motivating, and I would love to participate this fall...Have fun, I hope you all post pictures!

Shoot.

Next time a project is up, will someone please be so kind as to send me a note or pm? My online time is severely limited now, so I don't get into here nearly as often as I did before. Thanks!

EVERYBODY, make 8 pieces of jewelry.

Hi, all,

I know I said deadline is end of September (for 8 pieces of jewelry), but I just want to say if you are late, that's fine. It's a busy time. I'd much rather people be late if needed than drop out.

Hugs y'all,
Jennifer :)
