Good Start
I woke up before my alarm went off, the room was very cool but my covers were deep, cozy and warm, my dog was laying next to me snoring and in the distance I heard the morning train whistle. Blissful, comforting cozy goodness

Knowing that even though I can be a real pain in the bum, that Hy cares about me and wants what is best for me. Even though the miles are far apart it is comforting to know Hy is there.

What brought me joy today...
The absolutely GORGEOUS weather we've had here for the last 2 weeks! Passing a halloween store, and having an employee dressed in full costume, tip his top hat & bow to me as I passed him by. He was about 16 years old and seemed to be enjoying acting out his character. One of the local churches has opened up their pumpkin patch. I smiled at all the children trying to pick up the big ones, and their parents posing them for pictures. Too cute... Having a hot lunch date with my boo today! |

My daughter started her new job today - I'm so happy for her - she's been trying to hard.
This gives her the boost to her self esteem she needs - this also gives me my first step to freedom to be me once again...... |
I injured my foot last night at the gym, not so much joy.........however, Papa came to work today to make sure I was ok and hy doctored it right up!!!
I got to see hym, hug hym and give hym sweeeeeeeeet kisses! THAT is joy! Makes for a nice workday. |

At 4:55 this morning my cat pounced on me and meowed in my face. After strategically positioning herself in various sensitive areas (4 paws, 4 spots) as only cats can do, she became very, very heavy. Naturally she became even heavier and reluctant to move as I tried to get up.

My newly 17 year old daughter hugging me hard and telling me how much she is going to miss us when we leave on Friday night....nothing like a sweet girlie hug.....

Sitting on my back porch this morning and hearing that wonderful mocking bird again singing so proud and strong and enjoying my coffee. Crisp fall air and a snuggly robe. Bella running around in the yard and jumping after anything that moves.
Life is good. |
Getting the boy to school! ( trust me it is def a cause to celebrate!).. Getting some help from our neighbor up the road replacing a fuel filter and going over some little things on my big ugly truck that need to be addressed before Winter sets in. PLUS a tip for a new source for firewood! WOOT!... Having Sears promptly correct a very big mistake before they actually made it!
Annnddd my baby comes home tonight! ( Maybe in time for our big gay PTA meeting.. heh) So far a great day! and it's only 11:00 AM ! |

new life....
our most adorable 9 day old fluffy black kitten... his eyes are just opening, and omg-when he looks at me, I just swoon. He sleeps at night (for about an hour at a time before he gets hungry!) curled up in my neck, and he just purrrrssss and nuzzles- can I just say omg!!! I am bottle feeding him, and lemme just say that this baby is loving his new digs, and is becoming quite the chubby little fella! he is currently in his own fluffy kitty bed, curled up on a blankie with his own stuffed bunny he nuzzles with- with hand warmers under his blankie to keep him warm. joy does not even begin to describe this. :cheer: |
