To hot to do anything but stay inside, today it was 101*. The weather report says the temps should go down a bit and be less hot...like in the high 90's...go figure.

while at work tonight, I heard some beautiful thunder and saw some glorious lighting. It looked frightful with the dark heavy clouds. It hardly rained but the winds were a blowing. I received pictures from home of golf size hail. Dang it, I've yet to be anywhere where the hail is!
The big yellow orange glow of the sunset danced beautifully thru the clouds. Best sunset tonight:) |

Lately, we've had too much heat in the Pacific Northwest.
I think that summer is finally coming to a close here because the first stretch of rain is forecast to make an appearance, this weekend. Right now, it's about 62 degrees. High today, will be near 88 degrees. Tonight's low, somewhere around 54 degrees. |
We have finally seen the end of summer, I think, because temperatures have dropped nearly 30-40 degrees, since a week or so ago during the last heat wave.
We've also had more rain, too. High's over the weekend might reach the upper 70's. Low's will probably be near 44 to 50 degrees, at night. |
I think we're going to get some rain today. It's been a couple of weeks. We need it.

The chimney has been cleaned and ready for winter. Right now it's 13C / 55F so not cold, but can feel the winter change coming for sure. Got the fire fuel stocked up though, so I'm good for now :) |

After 2 days of very sunny, 90 degree temps with dew points in the mid 70's, it is in the 70's, humid, with sprinkles at the moment and thunder hovering overhead. |
