<<~ I'm really glad to be home for the evening and was thinking about making a dessert... Maybe German chocolate cake or Pumpkin Cheesecake? I'm not sure what I will make, but I know that I want something sweet and yummy after supper tonight.
|
<<~ I finally got up to greet the day. Yesterday was rather long but I did manage to beat a deadline and now trust that if the job I applied for is the one for me, then I will be very happy to assume a new role in my work life. Until then, though, I do what I always do: I let my hips sway with sweetness, I smile a little smile cuz a pretty smile really is the best medicine ever. Well, I take that back: I like the good medicine of kindness, gratitude, the feeling of a genuine hug that leaves you feeling stronger, and kindness.... Kindness, really does make ones' world feel better.
In other news: I feel like I am coming down sick today, but will resist the idea that I am sick. *lol* ssssshhhhhhhh. :) |
At work after a long PRODUCTIVE day in the house......
Hungry enough to eat a horse.....well not really..... Impatiently waiting til it's time to get home..... Getting a headache from the impending storm.....I should've been a sailor.... Spell check is telling me that should've is spelled wrong?? *Makes a mental note to kick my grammar school teachers for making me look stoopid in front of spell check :
<<~ it's almost 1am (well, in about 15 minutes) and finally, after a cazillion and one changes in yesterday's plans, I am just now finally able to sit down and have something to eat. I'm making tuna-egg salad. Will probably see if I have some of this bread I like that has seeds galore all over it (Dave's Bread) to go with it. I hope I have enough sweet pickle relish too...

dentista ....
Was so nervous and anxious about my appointment this morning! Haven't been to the dentist since 2008 I think. I had three fillings - no root canal necessary thank goodness. The dentist was good - good technology, clean, his English was good, not out to rip me off. :D
Happy! And, didn't even cry! |
<<~ today the weather was incredibly gorgeous, such a beautiful Fall day: Upper 80s, slightly windy, not a cloud in the sky all day but wisps of clouds could be seen as the sun began to set tonight. It was good to gazelle around the universe today: just me and my son, driving the back country roads...
|
songwriter demos
knocked out the lead and backing vocals on 2 songs tonight...
"no good man" sounds great. we are ready to mix still need to lay the lead guitars on "can't never could" the vox turned out great, we all got goosebumps on the playback.... next up, the vocals and guitar on "mamma" probably won't get to that until next month. can't wait to get them mixed and mastered. can't wait to share them with you all... my producer is going to shop them to her contacts... i'm not greedy one hit song would do... |
at the hospital visiting Teddy...
Got him showered and changed his bed since his fever broke finally........ Waitingfor dinner to come up Been a longgg day He has surgery in the morning...praying all goes wellw :bunchflowers: |
Patiently waiting for supper to finish :)
|
<<~ I spent the evening doing *tons* of research on a way to solve my glaring dilemma that has been staring me down for weeks. Will find out Monday if my efforts prove to be the best thing since the last big idea I had a few years ago. :)
|
Wondering why the heck I woke up at 6am and now I cannot go back to sleep. One of my pups needs to go to the vet this morning I think. It is always something.
|
Waiting on the repairman to arrive. I was informed by GE that my dishwasher is under recall, due to a faulty heating element that has caused at least 15 fires, "7 of which were not contained within the unit". I think that's another way to say their faulty heating element has burned down 7 houses. :|
|
Up and attem this morning.. Going to meet some friends from Massachusetts for some motorcycling.. Hopefully the weather holds off...
|
<<~ is very, Very, *VERY*, V. E. R. Y. happy this morning!
( omg, so happy - just got hired in the nick of time, omg!!!! :| ) I now need more coffee. Please and Thank You. :) |
Just checked the crock pot for my chicken soup to see how it's going.
Finished laundry and watched a great documentary on the Hotel Grammercy in NY Now I think I'll grab a lil nap zzzzzzz |
Just woke up from a nap....at WORK :|
|
<---- needs a nap.
|
Been napping on and off all day. Hoping this cold goes away! A week is too long! Tonite a junk food bar family night. lol Sounds silly but movies and junk food are needed when all of us have had a rough week at school!
|
<<~ catching a second wind
(will take cat nap tomorrow) |
Could do with a nap myself. Even though it's 9.16am on Sunday.
|
<<~ I had such a nice day today: I made some homemade potato salad tonight for me and my son, made some very delicious cheesecake as well, and just enjoying the peace I feel tonight. But guess what?? I happen to come across a band called "The Ultimate Bearhug" - I've already listened to a few of their songs (I'll Be Your Woman & Sunshine) and right now I'm listening to: "Heaven Knows"
|
I'm tired but yet can't sleep.
|
I'm reading Huckleberry Finn in bed listening to my boy dog snore and make noises while he chases something in his sleep.
|
Monday ... I can't say enough bad things about Monday's :(
|
Up & getting ready to head to the gym :)
|
It would seem that fall has arrived. Here that means a heavier fog bank and 10 degrees cooler.
Enjoying an excellent cup of coffee and deciding to add a sweater for this mornings adventures on the beach. I hope everyone has a good start to their week. :balloon: |
<<~ woke up to a very chilly house this morning and while closing the patio doors, discovered it had rained overnight. It's very cold outside, right now. I'm going to make some hot cocoa and snuggle in bed with a good book today....
eta: was just sitting over in the 'what are you listening to' thread and getting my chocolate fix listening to Lady Snow, KayCee and Spirit Dancers morning music (good vibes, for sure!) :) |
<<~ says it's time for me to head back to bed and snuggle with my blankets and a good book and make some more hot chocolate. Maybe add a few more blue sparkle moments to that mix too. :)
*ciao* :chocolate: :chocolate::chocolate: |
<<~ has not been doing too much reading in bed today. I did happen to notice though that I have 13 friends here online with me right now.
:) In other news: The sun finally came out and my baby boy bird is out in the pine tree singing a rather annoying song right now. He usually sings a sweet melody. He's probably distressed that he might have to fly for miles and miles to find a new home soon. |
Feels like forever since I was last in Kuala Lumpur. And I haven't seen my ex since ...? April at least. It's been ok. Staying at her place tonight and will be ok - as long as she doesn't try to kiss me. She was pissed off at me this afternoon for texting and "not talking to her". :sunglass::blink: Oh the delicious irony of that statement!
I bought a new battery for my camera and a new card reader. Wanted to buy a new teeshirt but gave up - the cheap ones are made of nasty thin fabric and I didn't like any of the more expensive teeshirts/tops. I often find clothes shopping stressful. I'm either not fat enough or too fat. Can't win. :seeingstars: But my ex introduced me to her ex-boss who works in a women's boutique and do made-to-order. So maybe there is a perfect dress out there that doesn't make me look like a sack of spuds. I've quite enjoyed being in Bukit Bintang - a little bit of familiarity when I'm always a stranger. |
<<~ I just made a nice cup of coffee, had some fresh fruit (an orange and some strawberries and a banana) with toasted slices of sourdough that I smeared with tons of butter. *yummy*
I'm also listening to Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings... Story goes that Barber wrote this masterpeice when he was 26 yrs. old. That, later in life he dedicated it to his dead wife. And that, in 1936, Toscanini conducted the first performance of it at Rockefeller Center in NYC. and finish my morning time by listening to.... Sergei Rachimaninoff's acapella arrangement of Ave Maria. |
<---- made an awesome salad for lunch today: baby spinach dressed in a light olive oil and white balsamic vinegar with tomatoes, baked chicken breast, half an avocado and hand chopped almonds.
for Katzchen (I love Barbers Adagio) forgot to add: the good salad makes up for the truly appalling breakfast choice I made this morning.... for future reference - chocolate dipped pomegranate seeds are not a good substitution for blueberries in one's plain greek yogurt. :| For real. :
I treasure your friendship!!! <3
Quote:
*LOL* You are so sweet and a lovely, lovely cook! I hope your puppy is being adorable today as well as those little cherubs you know too and that sunshine reigns in your universe today! :stillheart: |
I am finally home in bed with my leg propped up on a pillow. I have a 100 pound Moose (mastiff) on one side of me and peppa curled up under the blanketskeeping my feet warm. Hysterical crying over pain is finally over. I don't wish to do that again thank you.
The crutches they gave Damon are too tall. Thank goodness the Bear has a pair. I'm ready for food, water and a nap in that order. |
<<~ Oh Happy Day!
I am ready for work today: I practice my talents here, before I go (proof submitted below). *cheers* ;) http://www.frugallivingnw.com/wp-con...a+bottles1.jpg |
Vietiane, Laos!
Wow, I so need to check into my hotel and have a shower and a nap. Really hope I don't have any problems checking in since I forgot to bring the booking confirmation with me.
The traffic here is so quiet and civilised. It's lovely after the madness of Malaysia. Glorious temples and monks in bright orange robes. The traditional architecture is lovely. Folks are nice - although getting the tourist visa was fun. It was ok, not a :| moment, but really, three people to take some money, print out a visa and glue it into my passport? People have to have jobs I suppose. |
A hectic day that actually started at 7pm Mon night. Had a surprise sleep study but finally got it over and over course woke up with a migraine at 6am when I am usually going to bed but hey I got to wake the doc up at 6am too so there are benefits to being in the office when one strikes. Did not make it home till around 2pm though uggg city transportation is less then desirable on a good day. Received a surprised pm here that lifted My spirits so that was nice and actually cooked Myself a wonderful dinner. Stuck foot in mouth when trying to be diplomatic with a dear friend, truly need to learn to just be Me and not worry about hurting someone I succeed much better when I do that. Another busy day ahead but its all good in the end.
|
<<~ Today feels like a John Denver, sunshine on my shoulder, kind of day because there is abundant sunshine outside! :)
|
Not a bad actually preety good except I got bored and instead of going to FB I reworded My profile here. Funny just how many words in the English language mean pretty much the same thing
|
<<~ is listening to the Bad-Boy of UK soul: Carl McIntosh (Loose Ends)
