Cleaned up the dogs' ice cube party in backyard, came in and wanted to read some on BFP before I fall asleep ...

Getting ready for work and calling my spouse's doctor, trying to get her an appt. for this afternoon, calling boss and telling him I can come in this morning but gotta leave at noon, chugging coffee and feeling like going back to bed!

Listening to love songs and wondering how long I'll have the hiccups.

Woke up to three bff's checking in with me and each other....
watching the steady rainfall. Don't know what I'll make for lunch or supper. Maybe soup, or snack all day long. Feeling gratitude for close friends in my life, for today, looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

OMFG.

One of my interns just got a brand new puppy and I'm currently inhaling puppy breath and scruffing a fat puppy tummy!

Reminds me of my dad. He used to eat scrapple and eggs when we lived back east. He was Pennsylvania Dutch and German.

I have never seen it in CA.

I remembered I did not care for it. I forgot what was in it. In case you don't know either, Wiki always does!

Good morning all! I am eating oatmeal and watching VICE from last night on "Black and Blue"; about Black Lives Matter and the police. Organizers have begun a "Campaign Zero" to develop policy solutions to bring an end to the violence and death. Did you know some cities have killed no unarmed black men and other cities have extraordinarily high rates? St. Louis has killed 65.77 per 1 million people (90% black) and Orlando PD comes in second.

My oatmeal is sitting heavy right now but this is our reality.

I slept pretty good last night but areas of my lower back and my hips are killing me. Maybe some sort of barometric pressure change is amplifying my pain levels? Don't know, really. So I'm up for the day, sipping on some hot Chai tea, reading news headlines, and will.work on a craft project later today.

Plotting and planning a meal. It's almost 8:30 which might sound like breakfast is calling my name but since I've been up since 2:00 this morning now it's kind of roaring my name. I feel like that Seymour plant in Little Shop of Horrors - FEED ME!!! Only since there is no one around to do it for me, and as much as Monte tries to have opposable thumbs he just doesn't, looks like I'm on my own.

Watching flip or flop, patiently waiting for pre season baseball at noon.

Getting ready to meet friends for coffee. I'm usually just a straight up black coffee kind of girl but I feel like maybe getting something more involved today. We shall see...

Yard work! Lots of raking (which I absolutely hate), then the first mow of the year. Spread some dirt into some low spaces and finished by cleaning and washing the rider.

It went well except the raking. All the sticks from the hard rains and the pods (I am guessing that's what they are called) from the magnolias. They would have been beautiful but the freeze ruined all the blossoms. THE worst thing was forgetting to put the gas cap on and running over it. I need to get that replaced before my mother finds out. Funny, I am almost 48 but don't want to tell Her I messed up!

Whenever I hear about folks co-mingling their stuff it reminds me of the scene in When Harry Met Sally and the fight between Carrier Fisher & Bruno Kirby over the wagon wheel table...........:giggle:

Haha! Yep these hands do it all from washing dishes to engine repair and everything in between.

Watching more baseball. Then ghost adventures.

Isn't opening day for some teams a week from Monday? I think it is for the Milwaukee Brewers .........

Enjoying the sunshine, listening to music, and waiting for supper time (roasted pork, red yams, garden salad).

I'm listening to neighbors and unexpected visitors singing Happy Birthday to the little girl who lives downstairs, below me. She was recently hospitalized from complications due Lupus. She is terribly happy right now....

I'm putting together an small list of things I need to buy while grocery shopping, later today. And crossing off things on my to-do list of small household chores.

Left work at 2:30 ... stopped and got 2 gallons of milk and dog food ...just got home, they have been walked, fed and walked again ... we are in the bedroom relaxing in the cool

I want to post a warning. If you are ever offered the antibiotic CIPRO, ask if something else can be prescribed. Horrible side effects. (nauseated, heartburn from hades, aching all over, headache, can't sleep) I will try to finish the script, only 6 more pills to go but if I don't, I don't. I called the doctor at 1:30 describing the situation. Have not heard back. If they aren't concerned, that is a good sign I suppose. The babies and I are settling in for a nap.
