Chicken fajitas and corn on the cob. I can't believe they turned out so good. Must be the fresh red and green bell pepper. Enough to re-heat for lunch tomorrow too (as long as I remain upstairs and don't do a midnight fridge raid).

Dinner

Last night I made cast-iron baked chicken, mushroom rice, yellow squash, and roasted sweet potatoes. It was yummy!

Is that your version of a quick pickling?

IDK about quick LOL

mom puts it together fast but it sits in the fridge for a bit so they soak it up but we eat it too fast!

Katniss 04-26-2020 08:48 PM

Hamburgers off the grill with all the trimmings. Silver Queen corn. The hamburgers were really good. I am trying to support local small business and one little restaurant is selling boxes of produce and meat that they would normally serve to customers in-house. I'm guessing it had a higher fat content than what I typically buy as they were really juicy.

Well, that all depends on your answer to the following question(s):

Would YOU have called BEFORE driving to the Chinese place?

Or would you be the one to come back empty handed??

:sunglass:

P.S.: what exactly is lsteawberry ..... it does not even remotely sound edible

No picking on the blind that are too stubborn to wear glasses when typing on their phone... And the Chinese issue... If I was eager to please I would likely have gone off half cocked and driven prior to calling.

tsk..YIKES... did not know you were "blind" :| ... passes you a pair of glasses (though technically NOT blind if you can still see by wearing glasses)....:glasses:

BUT.. you failed to answer the question correctly.. You may not want to be so eager to please because you'll end up being "blind" AND starving.... :seeingstars:

so.. NO CHICKEN FOR YOU...... :goodluck:

Hmmm... I believe You mentioned needing a massage the other night. Perhaps I could throw that in?

firegal 04-27-2020 06:29 PM

Air fryer cooked halibut again and cottage cheese.

GeorgiaMa'am 04-27-2020 07:21 PM

Squash casserole with onions and cheese

Gemme 04-27-2020 07:32 PM

If you count the meal I had at 5, it was steak, beets and black eyed peas. If you count what I just ate, it was peach cobbler ice cream.

Orema 04-28-2020 02:21 PM

Buffalo wings left over from lunch.

RebelDyke 04-28-2020 06:10 PM

CHINESE.... wooooooh.. this time i took it into my own hands and did NOT rely on the roomie... smart move.

what's that saying.. if you want it done right..... :sunglass: trust me the roomie was not complaining!

RockOn 04-28-2020 06:42 PM

Georgia Ma'am, no more beenie-weenie???

(referring to your post on April 20th)

whadda madda wif yo beanie weenie? *grin*

That was a primary food group for me until I went vegan about a year ago. I really miss it but new primary doctor frowned on it in May 2019.

Telling you a secret now ... grocery shopping for vegan food is difficult since the virus. Now I go into store, make haste grabbing food and get out quickly. I am no longer totally vegan but will get back to it soon as everything calms down. I bought a case of Beanie Weenie at Sams Club. Glad I saw your post. That is what I am having for dinner tonight. :)
Thanks for your post!

gizzards

Yeah, I really like gizzards!!!

easygoingfemme 04-28-2020 07:25 PM

We made a smoked fish pie. Smoked white fish with peas and carrots, cheese and cream baked and topped with mashed potatoes. A wee bit of Jameson's on the side, as one does with an Irish pie.

Gemme 04-28-2020 09:08 PM

I had bacon Caesar salad with pepperoni pizza, water to drink and some buttermilk pie for dessert.

That sounds ___SO___ delicious. Smoked white fish! And raise a wee dram for me, would you? Slainte!

GeorgiaMa'am 04-29-2020 05:44 PM

Lime flavored tortilla chips.

Delivery snafu. I am so upset. Someone suggested pizza instead, but it's too late - I was hungry and already into the chips.

I'll have some applesauce and a cookie later and call it a night.

I hate snafu's!!

And now pizza is on my mind. There is a shortage of yeast..I suppose bread and pizza is being made.

I'm having left overs. I made Hawaiian macaroni salad on Monday. Tonight will be the end of it.

Mixed berries and cottage cheese. I just can't get enough of blueberries. They are soo good right now.

Katniss 04-29-2020 08:00 PM

Since we have a rainy night in Georgia the chicken teriyaki was baked, not grilled. Rice, stir-fry zucchini and onion.

Fresh blueberries for dessert. Totally agree with Besame' the blueberries are so good right now!

Katniss~~

GeorgiaMa'am 05-01-2020 08:34 AM

- Bacon
- Eggs scrambled in bacon grease (which is not something I normally do, but we're out of butter - but they were _so_ good)
- Biscuits

Katniss 05-01-2020 05:09 PM

Veggie du' jour

Dinner was going to be many, many things when I started my day this morning. All of them creative and impressively presented. However after a positively brutal day at work it ended up being my go-to comfort food;

Ripe yummy tomato slices on toasted white bread with real mayo.
Ice cold Diet Coke.
Delicious fresh strawberries for dessert.

Katniss~~ (will shoot for creative and impressive tomorrow)

RebelDyke 05-01-2020 05:16 PM

given the current state of events in my cue.. it is locally owned business

Mexican rice bowl...curbside delivery! fun times :hangloose:

C0LLETTE 05-01-2020 05:19 PM

With all those chickens being euthanized, I figure I should eat chicken and drink lots of milk.
How insane is that? Can't all those genius' in government come up with a plan to feed the hungry instead of destroying crops, tossing dairy, killing livestock .

C0LLETTE 05-01-2020 06:19 PM

Instead of euthanizing all those chickens, hogs and tossing them, why don't you send them to Canada. We'll deep freeze them in the Great Canadian North and sell them back as frozen Hungry Man Chicken dinners. Better still, we'll sauce them and send them back as Lean Cuisine Thai dinners.

On the other hand we could just keep them frozen (we've got lots of room ) until we all start getting hungry and food shortages drive us to eating chicken with snow burn.

kittygrrl 05-02-2020 05:59 PM

chill w kale salad & grilled garlic bread..

JDeere 05-02-2020 08:46 PM

A blue berry bagel with whipped cream cheese, a bowl of regular cheerios.

Chancie 05-03-2020 11:48 AM

We had vegan buffalo wings with random steamed greens last night. I sprinkled the greens with extravagantly expensive yuzu juice.

I’m making vegan onion soup in the crockpot. It smells ridiculous. We’ll have it tonight with cheese-y little toasts, though Pete’s little toasts will have Chao cheese.
