Thai Chicken curry red..... 2 star

easygoingfemme 07-07-2020 06:38 PM

Daddy brought dinner by surprise. A wedge salad that I love with shrimp and balsamic reduction and all kinds of goodies.

easygoing..i don't actually know..they were on a table of appetizers..very spicy but incredibly good

C0LLETTE 07-08-2020 01:00 PM

Tonight I'll have a can of Mott" s Extra Spicy Clamato Caesar. Seems there's tomato paste, anchovies, onions , garlic, dried clam broth in there. Oh, and 5.5% vodka.

Really, what more could you want for a satisfying evening meal?

Orema 07-09-2020 11:59 AM

Tonight will be wings. Think I'll put them in the Instant Pot for 10 minutes then put them on the grill for awhile.

Last night was an Orema burger. Well-done burger patty on a low carb tortilla with slaw, dill pickles, green onions, mayo and mustard. It was perfect.

easygoingfemme 07-10-2020 01:38 PM

I'm going to make lobster tails, steamer clams, homemade coleslaw, and corn on the cob.

GeorgiaMa'am 07-10-2020 01:45 PM

Tonight is lasagna night.

Gemme 07-12-2020 10:25 AM

Last night was a chicken salad sandwich with dill pickle chips shoved inside for some tang, fresh Northwest cherries (but not Rainiers, dammit), water to drink with dinner and then sugar free pink lemonade with animal crackers for dessert for there must always be dessert.

Kenna 07-13-2020 07:28 PM

I had leftover takeout and
PEACHES...delightful, ripe sweet PEACHES... yummy!!
Then I froze some for breakfast tomorrow.

clementinefemme 07-13-2020 08:46 PM

Homemade blueberry mint mojito with a black bean burger :)

So, for a change of pace...try this tonight:

Here’s a stomach-churning feat: A woman from Arizona devoured not one, but two 72-ounce steak dinners in about an hour at the Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo.

The lovely lady from Tucson, AZ completed not only one, but TWO 72oz steak meals back to back. First in 26:40 and second 34:30 .

The woman, identified as professional competitive eater Miki Sudo, . She’s won the women’s title for six straight years at the famous Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

In addition to the 72-ounce steak, the Big Texan challenge includes a salad, a shrimp cocktail, a baked potato and a roll. You get the meal for free if you consume it all in an hour.

Finding anyone who can consume two of those meals — that’s nine pounds of meat — in one sitting is rare. It’s rarer to find a woman who’s done it.

However, it’s not a record. In 2015, 120-pound Molly Schuyler of Nebraska ate THREE Big Texan 72-ounce steak meals in a mere 20 minutes. She gobbled the first in under five minutes, destroying the record of 8 minutes, 52 seconds set by fellow competitive eater Joey “Jaws” Chestnut in 2008.

bon apetit

nycfem 07-14-2020 11:12 PM

I had some frozen veggie eggrolls from the health food store with sweet chili sauce. They were amazing- note to self: check brand because... fabulous!

Dessert: Greek yogurt with strawberries, banana, kamut puffs, cinnamon, and walnuts.

2nd Dessert: Half of an XOXO dark chocolate bar with sea salt and caramel. Highly recommended. Like... OMG!

C0LLETTE 07-15-2020 09:01 AM

ok, ok...but can you eat all that in under 30 seconds?

Blade 07-15-2020 09:36 PM

- Smothered pork chops
- rice and gravy
- collard greens
- blackeyed peas
- cornbread
- peach cobbler!!!

Kätzchen 07-17-2020 12:59 AM

A small plate of summer vegetables (radishes, sliced tomato, celery sticks with peanut butter, slices of sweet red peppers and romaine lettuce) and then a bowl of black raspberry ice cream (non-dairy, made with coconut milk). Water to drink.

Orema 07-17-2020 03:51 AM

Tonight will be short ribs and mashed turnips.

easygoingfemme 07-17-2020 12:05 PM

It's my daughter's birthday today. She requested a big salad with salmon on top and Jalapeno poppers and white claws. So that's happening.

nycfem 07-17-2020 10:45 PM

I dry-wokked 4 veggie hotdogs. I did that without cutting them up. I hadn't thought to cut them up but next time I will.

I ate them with sauerkraut and mustard.

Dessert: two pieces of salt water taffy (banana and peppermint).

Kätzchen 07-17-2020 11:02 PM

I should log off and make something to eat for supper, because I haven't had much to eat today and I need to eat.

I have some meatless 'meat balls' in the freezer, so I can brown some of those up and add some high-protein pasta and chop up some fresh zucchini and add a cup or two of roasted tomato sauce to create a nice simple Italian-type meal. And sprinkle some Hemp Hearts on top, I think, with a dollop of non-dairy 'sour cream'.

Half hour of cooking, until I can fade into post-supper coma-ville land. :jester:

Kätzchen 07-18-2020 02:44 PM

I stopped by a produce stand out in the country and bought some awesome stuff: a huge head of organic butter leaf lettuce, and several pints of berries (marion, blackcaps, rasp, and blue berries) and some gorgeous flowers (Dahlias and sunflowers and Queen Anne's Lace and Snapdragons).

So I plan to have a nice summer garden salad, complete with freshly sliced roma tomatoes and for dessert? I bought a home made Pumpkin Brownie Cake with frosting and chopped walnuts.

Maybe a small cup of freshly made pour-over coffee, to accompany the cake, too.

And, water (keep hydrating).

firegal 07-18-2020 03:13 PM

My sis went to her fave take out and brought me back Eggs benedict. So it is far too large for just a meal.... so breakfast, lunch and dinner it is.

nycfem 07-18-2020 10:17 PM

Amy's gluten free bean burrito, hot salsa (my favorite: La Victoria extra hot jalapeno), multi-colored cauliflower.

Dessert: dark chocolate.

Orema 07-19-2020 03:47 AM

The last of the short ribs and turnips. So good.

kittygrrl 07-19-2020 01:43 PM

a lunch/dinner kinda thing-
A chilled shrimp and soba noodle salad
https://www.savoringthethyme.com/wp-...-Recipe-21.jpg &
finally a slice of vegan chocolate cake

listening to

Kätzchen 07-19-2020 02:14 PM

I bought some wild salmon today and am using the salmon with sweet pickle relish, minced sweet Walla Walla onions, chia seeds and homemade vegan egg-less Mayo to make a 'salad' of sorts. I bought cranberry-pumpkin seeded organic crisps (zero sugar impacts, thank heavens) to accompany the Salmon 'salad'.

Fresh local berries for dessert.

Maybe a tiny slice of the Pumpkin Brownie Cake, later tonight, right before bedtime.

Water to drink.

firegal 07-19-2020 03:20 PM

Cod cooked in air fryer with small green salad and cottage cheese.

Gemme 07-19-2020 04:20 PM

Tonight will be the last of some sirloin I have plus mashed potatoes and sweet peas. Sweet tea to drink, I think.

nycfem 07-19-2020 09:27 PM

Kätzchen 07-20-2020 08:47 PM

Gosh, just got home after a long day at work and it is still exceptionally warm (99+ degrees).

So it is going to be a light supper of a small garden salad, a small bowl of fresh berries, and a tiny slice of Pumpkin Brownie cake.

Water to drink.

I did however pick up some caulifower, last time i shopped for fresh produce. When it cools down, i plan to make a creamy cauliflower soup to use in a classic "Mac & Cheese" baked pasta dish. Can't wait to have that for supper, one night soon.

GeorgiaMa'am 07-21-2020 07:21 PM

Pizza! Yes, that makes two nights in a row. They had different toppings, though.

Orema 07-22-2020 08:45 AM

Last night was lemon pepper wings delivered from WingStop.

Am thawing a chicken breast in the fridge for tonight. Think I'll grill it and add it to a salad.

If it's not thawed by dinner time I'll just have a salad with some tuna.

easygoingfemme 07-22-2020 08:52 AM

I'm not sure but I know it will involve the zucchini and yellow squash we picked from the garden last night!
