I know it's late, I know you're weary I know your plans don't include me Still here we are, both of us lonely Longing for shelter from all that we see Why should we worry, no one will care girl Look at the stars so far away We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We've got tonight babe Why don' you stay? Deep in my soul, I've been so lonely All of my hopes, fading away I've longed for love, like everyone else does I know I'll keep searching, even after today So there it is girl, I've said it all now And here we are babe, what do you say? We got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We've got tonight babe Why don't you stay? I know it's late, I know you're weary I know your plans don't include me Still here we are, both of us lonely Both of us lonely We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? Let's make it fast, let's find a way Turn out the light, come take my hand now We've got tonight babe Why don't you stay? Why don't you stay? |
Blessed silence,today the roofers have been pounding on the roof putting on a new one,it didnt really bother me much till 3:00pm yesterday.Tomorrow they will finish it all,the up side is I wont have to worry about a roof for the next 30 years unless it gets damaged in some way by the weather.

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0put0_a--Ng"]ADELE - 'Make You Feel My Love' - YouTube[/nomedia]
When the rain is blowing in your face, And the whole world is on your case, I could offer you a warm embrace To make you feel my love. When the evening shadows and the stars appear, And there is no one there to dry your tears, I could hold you for a million years To make you feel my love. I know you haven't made your mind up yet, But I would never do you wrong. I've known it from the moment that we met, No doubt in my mind where you belong. I'd go hungry; I'd go black and blue, I'd go crawling down the avenue. No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do To make you feel my love. The storms are raging on the rolling sea And on the highway of regret. Though winds of change are throwing wild and free, You ain't seen nothing like me yet. I could make you happy, make your dreams come true. Nothing that I wouldn't do. Go to the ends of the Earth for you, To make you feel my love |

Christmas In Dixie -- Alabama By now in New York City. There's snow on the ground. And out in California. The sunshines' falling down. And maybe down in Memphis, Graceland's all in lights. And in Atlanta, Georgia, there's peace on earth tonight. Christmas in Dixie, its snowing in the pines. Merry Christmas from Dixie to everyone tonight. Its windy in Chicago. The kids are out of school. There's magic in Motown. The city's on the move. In Jackson, Mississippi to Charlotte, Caroline. And all across the Nation, its a peaceful Christmas time. Christmas in Dixie, its snowing in the pines. Merry Christmas from Dixie, to everyone tonight. And from (I've always substituted "Savannah, Georgia") Fort Payne, Alabama.. Merry Christmas tonight. ~Theo~ :winky::listening::bouquet: |

Christmas Eve 1914
The truce began on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1914, when German troops began decorating the area around their trenches in the region of Ypres, Belgium, for Christmas. They began by placing candles on trees, then continued the celebration by singing Christmas carols, most notably Stille Nacht (Silent Night). The British troops in the trenches across from them responded by singing English carols. The two sides continued by shouting Christmas greetings to each other. Soon thereafter, there were calls for visits across the "No Man's Land" where small gifts were exchanged — whisky, jam, cigars, chocolate, and the like. The artillery in the region fell silent that night. The truce also allowed a breathing spell where recently-fallen soldiers could be brought back behind their lines by burial parties. Proper burials took place as soldiers from both sides mourned the dead together and paid their respects. At one funeral in No Man's Land, soldiers from both sides gathered and read a passage from the 23rd Psalm: The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. The truce spread to other areas of the lines, and there are many stories of football matches between the opposing forces. The film Joyeux Noël suggests that letters sent home from both British and German soldiers related that the score was 3-2 in favour of the Germans. |

I have made choices I am not proud of.... I have learned to judge no one, because there but for the Grace of God go I. I will always be grateful for what I have.... |
Everybody Knows
Everybody knows that the dice are loaded Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed Everybody knows that the war is over Everybody knows the good guys lost Everybody knows the fight was fixed The poor stay poor, the rich get rich That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows that the boat is leaking Everybody knows that the captain lied Everybody got this broken feeling Like their father or their dog just died Everybody talking to their pockets Everybody wants a box of chocolates And a long stem rose Everybody knows Everybody knows that you love me baby Everybody knows that you really do Everybody knows that you've been faithful Ah give or take a night or two Everybody knows you've been discreet But there were so many people you just had to meet Without your clothes And everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows And everybody knows that it's now or never Everybody knows that it's me or you And everybody knows that you live forever Ah when you've done a line or two Everybody knows the deal is rotten Old Black Joe's still pickin' cotton For your ribbons and bows And everybody knows And everybody knows that the Plague is coming Everybody knows that it's moving fast Everybody knows that the naked man and woman Are just a shining artifact of the past Everybody knows the scene is dead But there's gonna be a meter on your bed That will disclose What everybody knows And everybody knows that you're in trouble Everybody knows what you've been through From the bloody cross on top of Calvary To the beach of Malibu Everybody knows it's coming apart Take one last look at this Sacred Heart Before it blows And everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Oh everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows |
