This last two weeks I came to realize something that made me..happy.
My grandmother had a daughter and four sons. My mother had a daughter and four sons. I have a daughter and four sons. Of course, biologically I have one son and one daughter, but I have three other boys between an exgf and my wife that mean the world to me. Children are the most precious thing in the world and nothing will ever change that. I never wanted to raise any more children, and definitely never planned on going through it all again, but if I have any regrets, it's that I didn't have more time with any of my children. There's nothing like taking the boys in for haircuts or comics, and buying the girl fancy underthings or that perm she was dying for. |
talking to a co worker tonight we have not had a chance to catch up in a while. we were loooking back at all the crap that we went throught last year when our department reorg happened and now both of us are better off :wine: so there was a silver lining to all the pain

What made me smile....
a phone call from my mom as soon as she got out of the doctor. All of her test results were normal! The couple spells where it seemed like she was having a mini stroke were either stress related or something to do with her blood sugar! YAY Mommy!! |
A day off
A new merino wool cycling jersey (yet another) Playing with SpiderJack and SuperConnor on the park. Watching the two wee ones cuddle up on the big swingy thang whilst me and their Mom pushed them high (for 5yr olds) and teased them. Precious and priceless moments. |
