Its 55* cloudy with a low of in the low 40"s.

My aunt had a coy pond with water plants, what she did was put post in the ground all around the pond, make a top with chicken wire then cover it the wire and put something on the edges to hold it down but could be raised up on the edges as needed. But on the really cold days she had a low grade heat lamp with a fan too blow the warmth over the pond. I'm sure some kind of set up like that can work out, when I was time too take it off she just took it down rolled it up for the next winter.

I just checked the outside pipe covers so while I was doing that I looked at the thermometer it said 28* windy & cold. This kind of weather keeps me indoors cause it makes me hurt every where plus its a kicker to start an asthma attack.

-10 nights here in NW Indiana, with snow on the way :( CIJS- Windows, doors, walls, insulation, 2 thick feather comforters on bed, 2 extra electric heaters, 2 wool socks, 2 pants, long underwear, wool sweater with wool vest, furry ear muffs, two wool knit sock-hats, coyote trimmed fur hood under thick, feather, water-proof parka, and thick-soled, water-proof, Gore-Tex boots. Bring it on while I can still breathe!

Yesterday was freakishly warm- 55 degrees- with a rain storm and even a little bit of thunder. Today is 17 degrees and very windy. Trying to warm up from walking the dog.:tea:

Cold, cold, cold, slushy, wet, muddy, slight wind from the East and the clouds/fog meet the snow making it difficult to navigate.

That's why I ended my day because my boots are wet and my feet are very cold.

Winter appears to have reached sunny Florida with temps swinging like a pendulum, back and forth between 60° and 75° for daytime temps. Night temps are anywhere between the low 40's and the mid 60's dependent upon the highs of that particular day.

Wash your hands often folks, this is the time of year people tend to get nasty colds and flu bugs. :runforhills:

Here East of Dallas it's a warm 37*F windchill is 30*F and it's a wintery rain all day.
In other words, I"m freezing my ass off over and up here with this wet nasty windy cold air. lol

Supposed to get snow tonight and off and on through the weekend, I haven't checked the reports on how much accumulation we will be getting, I stopped listening after hearing snow :|

In the 30'same today but no blizzard this weekend. The storm is going to hit Viginia and areas close to them. YAY for me. For all of the peeps that are going to be blasted by this storm, stay safe.

It's currently 27° with an 80-100% chance of snow, depending on where you check, and 7mph winds (thank god for that at least). They're calling for 1-3 inches so that's not to bad. So far no call for snow tomorrow but a very large chance for snow friday. I'm in southwestern VA.
