I was super noshy tonight so I had my usual half a salad but then I had a couple of small apples sliced up and then a few cashews and then some snack crackers and peppercorn cheese as well as a couple of my gourmet medley tomatoes. Water to drink.

FireSignFemme 12-06-2020 03:37 AM

Well last night for dinner J made me spaghetti, french bread and a German chocolate cake for my birthday. All of it homemade and from scratch. :)

Stone-Butch 12-06-2020 04:38 AM

Dinner

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FireSignFemme and many many more to come. From a distance we shared a spaghetti dinner eh.

Gemme 12-06-2020 07:28 PM

Happy birthday, FSF!

Tonight I had a chicken sandwich with avocado oil mayo and pickles plus steamed edamame and the last of the crackers and peppercorn cheese. I also had the odd tomato or two and a couple of Halos. Old lady probiotic prunes for dessert and water to drink.

Found out why I've been so munchy lately. The Red River of Dooooooom has arrived.

This sounded so good, I had to look it up. It looks even better!

I'm gonna have to try this!

Bèsame* 12-07-2020 07:02 PM

It was a chili night. Lots of onions, celery, cilantro, yellow pepper, garlic..not much ground beef and about a half a cup of black beans. Topped off my bowl with sour cream and cheese.

Found a recipe for corn casserole. I'm not a fan of corn bread but this called for a box of jiffy cornbread mix. And you know it called for creamed corn, which I could not find. Imagine that?! I made my own, regular sweet crisp corn with a splash of heavy cream in my bullet thingy.

Good dinner😉

Gemme 12-07-2020 07:15 PM

I had half a salad with a few things extra thrown in, some steamed edamame, an apple and water to drink.

I had to look this up. I didn't know if it was a special type of recipe or whatnot. Basically, it's Canadian version of Campbell's soup.

Come to think of it...split pea soup does sound good right about now. Well, not NOW but maybe tomorrow. It'll still be a wee bit chilly then too. I like mine with bits of smoky bacon or ham in it.

GeorgiaMa'am 12-08-2020 06:27 PM

Forgot the cranberry sauce!

Bèsame* 12-09-2020 08:10 AM

Today is the day I'm roasting the free turkey. Tonight, sliced turkey, cranberries and balsamic brussel sprouts.

In my future..turkey wraps.

Forgot the cranberry sauce!

Tonight will be leftovers - but I've got Cranberry Sauce now!

Orema 12-10-2020 12:55 PM

Last night was a keto version of chicken and cashews. It was okay. I'm not crazy about that dish, but had the ingredients and wanted to try something new.

I'll have leftovers and will try to make it more interesting.

Stone-Butch 12-10-2020 01:07 PM

Dinner

I did my own ingredient lottery myself tonight. I wound up with whole grain rice, steamed edamame, sautéed mixed peppers, a sliced up spicy chicken patty, diced cashews and a wee bit of Healthy Choice Power Dressing Creamy Italian just for something to hold it all together.

I think the Greener Goddess dressing would have been a better choice but the Italian wasn't disgusting, so there's that. I can't have any of the Asian flavored dressings and sauces I used to because of their sugar content and also because I haven't found a replacement flavor for them yet. Two small apples for dessert and water to drink.

Mine was better than I thought it would be. I added kale and butter to the chicken and cashews and made a savory side salad (lettuce, mayo, tomatoe, onion) and it was good. Hope yours turned out well.

Tonight will be a thin-cut, bone in pork chop with something green on the side and a sugar-free, canna butter/peanut butter cookie for dessert.

Gemme 12-11-2020 08:46 PM

It wasn't horrible. I had another version of the same thing tonight except I forgot about the edamame but I did use the Greener Goddess dressing and it was better suited for those flavors. I had some whole grain rice with a hardboiled egg diced up and then the sautéed mixed peppers on top with a dollop of the dressing and I mixed it all up. Not too shabby. Better than last night for sure.

Two small apples for dessert with 5 nuts from my mixed nut container and water to drink.

Stone-Butch 12-11-2020 09:42 PM

Did lots of shopping so I had a great supper of Halibut Fish and Chips at my favorite spot.

Orema 12-12-2020 05:37 PM

Cheeseburger on low-carb tortilla with a glass of white wine.

VintageFemme 12-12-2020 05:57 PM

If it's Saturday night, it's pizza!

Gemme 12-12-2020 06:50 PM

Tonight, I just kept noshing. I couldn't figure it out until I remembered that I used some sweet & sour sauce for my chicken. Not a lot, but sugar drives the appetite up and so before it was all said and done, I'd eaten: a spicy chicken patty, some steamed edamame, sauced steamed veggies, 2 applies, 1 Halo and a bunch of nuts. Like two handfuls before it was over. It was my handful sized, which is smaller than most, but still far more than I usually eat. It was an experiment and I failed. The nuts were damn good, though. They went perfectly with the Halo. Water to drink.

Last night, my honey made mock alfredo with angel hair pasta, shitakes, and diced tomatoes, with thinly sliced green onions on top. This is made with raw cashews, soaked in boiling water, then blended til creamy with addition of S&P, fresh, diced garlic cloves, & "nutch" (nutritional yeast) blended til creamy, then poured over cooked pasta, topped with G.O. OH Em GEE!

She also made, for today, mexican salad of eggplant, red beets, zucchini, & mixed up with a made dressing, and walnuts. That is also to die for! MOUTHGASMS. I have enough of both for the next few days!

And to think, I find it an overwhelming effort to stick a TV Dinner in the microwave.

Lucky you, Clay!
Guess I'm not your type. LOL

My new favorite butcher had a deal I couldn't pass up. This deal has 5 different meals..divide that...I'll be set!

Tonight..pulled pork. Divided..a meal tonight with left overs. The other half, another night.

Coleslaw with raisins and some cut up marshmallows. I was missing the pineapple chunks.
