My mom called me Annie.....for the first time in YEARS.... :)

Even though the window at the post office was closed... I was able to get one of the books I ordered....it fit in the PO Box and the postmaster was nice enough to leave it in there.... and I also had a Backpacker waiting for me... :)

Taking a walk in the woods and building a Fairy house with my granddaughter. What more could there be?

Well done fish sticks with malt vinegar on a rainy day

Couple of hours ago an anxious neighbor comes over to ask if I'd mind taking a look at her grandson's dog. I go over, check out the pup, do my thing and leave instructions with the neighbor for a follow up. I collect my fee (brownies still warm from the oven) and I'm on my way out the door when the grandson (maybe 5?) stops me to ask about his dog. After a few seconds of reassurance we finish up with this:

Him: Are you a real doctor?
Me: I'm a veterinarian.
Him: What's that?
Me: It means I'm a doctor who takes care of animals
Him: Are you smart as a doctor that takes care of people?
Me: Well, to be honest I'm not sure. Maybe.
Him: I bet you're smarter.
Me: Oh yeah? Why's that?
Him: 'Cause my mom's a doctor that takes care of people and she never brings home brownies.

Dollar Store adventures with my daughter to buy supplies for Haunted Gingerbread Houses... that will be made at her birthday party coming up soon.

I'm not in so much pain today...reason to smile :)

A letter from home in the mail box. An actual hand written letter. Envelope, stamps, the whole 9 yards.

Met for Lunch with my beautiful lady . Flowing red hair, black skirt with a great belt and shoulder wrap thingee with a sleeveless very pretty white blouse.

We sat in Islands chatting about love and life, plans for the weekend, and as I watched this wonderful woman, I realized I really enjoy our relationship.

Just an hour or so stolen away from two busy careers, we glow as love blooms like spring is here.

A lovely conversation with a gentleman from Halifax, NS in Seattle while waiting for my bus to work. Kinda made me homesick for Cape Breton Island...but it did put a smile on my face this morn. :)

Coffee I always buy in KC went up a dime yesterday.:( It was 50 cents and I always have $ 2.50 every Monday for coffee it is all I need for the week. My allowance. Lol So today I had to raid my ashtray to get more spare change to cover the price hike. And I found 3 dollar bills that I forgot I put in there a few weeks ago. I love it when that happens. Sweet ! Perfect timing.

I saw the coolest thing on the way home from work today. I was stopped at a red light, saw this car from a distance coming down the road in front of me. There was something on its top and I could not see what it was until it got closer. This car had a sun roof. There was a chocolate lab in the car with its head sticking out the top of the sun roof. I swear this was the coolest thing. From the expression on the dog's face as the car went by in front of me, I concluded this dog was having a grand time. I loved it!
