Yeah, I keep a dog bowl out front on my porch filled with water for all animals. Heck, I have a geico now. The little boy next door let the lizard out, and now he has mated, and boom. There must be about 4 little ones running around. Dino doesn't know what to make of them. He just sits and watches them.

I also keep water in the birdbath. The small birds are there all day long. And it is like the water cooler at work I guess. The chirpping that goes on - wow. They are noisy birds I have to say.

I love to sit outside around dusk time. It is so peaceful. Plus I hope for a slight breeze, smoking a cigar, and talking with someone, and drinking whiskey or coffee. Just a good place to be. My happy place.

Rockinonahigh 06-16-2010 10:38 AM

Yeah,I got lots of lizards as well, they hang out on my patio and car port. Not long ago I found a tree frog siting on my exersise bike..got lots of birds too, recently I got an old bird waterer and feeder from an estate sale so I put them in the shade so the water will stay cooler.Any old fruit like apples & pears I have put out the birds are at them some but something is eating them besides the birds.

It just occurred to me how funny it is that the most important things i remembered about LA is that fabulous bbq joint and having my daughter!!! rofl........*laughin' at myself*

After I was done laughin' i remembered how i hated takin' a shower and walking outside and feeling like i needed another one cause the humidity made me feel all slimey again....... good grief, don't miss that..... we lived in an all white neighborhood, lived there quite a while before i realized where i was living and why it was like that...... my dad was military, and i was raised blind to color differences, so was quite shocked to realize that the south in those days was segregated still.....I'm talking 1976 here. My BIL lived in Houma LA, lordy did i love going to visit him and his family, his wife was cajun and omg did i fall in love with Cajun folks, but boy ya better wear your stretch pants or hippy dress, cause everybody had to feed ya, and ya better eat a full plate, so's not to disrespect anyone, omg, i put on some weight living there!!! :seeingstars:

Good golly miss Molly, i sure miss being around simple happy folks, all that laughing and eating and kids running round squealing an' having fun........fishing, and swatting skitters and other flying critters..... don't miss those dang snakes though.......

Sweet Bliss 06-21-2010 05:45 PM

OK, I know she's a celeb.... but, she is not simply a beauty, but a talent to the max! I also love it that she did an article for the AARP Mag..AND she lives about 30 minutes from me..... OMG!!! No, I have never stalked her! But, oh, I'd love to run into her somewhere while out and about!! Yanno.... just in The Nick of Time! Never have, dammit!!!

LOL, my late lover's son named his electric guitar, Bonnie when he was 12! Love that kid, too!

I have been single for a couple of years now. I am content with this and am living a full, complete life as a single person. I believe we will compliment eachothers life not complicate it. I also come complete so I do not seek someone else to complete me.
I believe we will find eachother during an ordinary day while doing the things we both love doing. I have learned to nurture myself and I only get wiser with each passing year. Adversity is a great teacher, but the past belongs in the past. I learn the lesson and move on. I believe in friendship caught fire.

I have a thing for Eddie Falco. She is participating in the "Stand Up 2 Cancer" campaign. First as Carm in "The Sopranos", and then as Jackie in "Nurse Jackie" in movies. I really respect her from afar.

a crush? never.

Alright, will admit that someone that frequents this site
is intelligent, intriguing, has a life, seems compassionate
and well read, and no, not a crush but an intellectual
attraction for sure.

but, I am busy times 100 and while I would like to get
to know her, at this time, I cannot

So, another will be the lucky guy.

I find your mind quality, your heart of Gold, yet I
cannot reach out to you. Destiny is a strange thing.

I seem to have a wee affinity for the way a woman sounds, the tone of her voice, the cadence and inflection of her speech.

And I actually crushed on my Dixie for several years. And I may or may not thread stalk June, Lady Pamela, Arwen, Duchess, Gemme, Blaze and Stilleto, Snow, and a few other. Which may or may not imply that I have a wee crush on them as well. ;)
