Had a weekend that was supposed to be relatively low-key but with one text message became anything but...it was wonderful!

Had a long, lazy lunch on Saturday with 2 amazing gents; we sat there and talked for hours!

Watched DomnNC build a computer from scratch...took him no time at all and yes, it did work! It was incredible to watch it all come together! Absolutely fascinating!

Had a lesson in driving a standard transmission - that was exciting! i felt like i was learning how to drive for the first time...now that i know i can do it (sort of) i can't wait to try again!

Morning coffee enjoyed in a rocking chair on a front porch...my idea of heaven!

A Sunday celebration lunch that concluded with luscious strawberry cake and homemade ice cream - it just doesn't get any better than that!

Laughter and just living life!

PERFECT weather......and I was outside almost the entire weekend.

I got alot of sun and consequently sunburn. I was wearing spf 30 but that wasn't enough. I had on *really good* sunglasses Saturday, and woke up sunday with these little puffy sacks underneath my eyes.

But I am stubborn, and relentless. I went to the baseball game (tailgate brunch first) I had on an UGLY (by my standards hat), sunglasses again and even zinc oxide to the point that it looked like war paint (I'm past worrying about what people think of me. Much more heat and sun

After the game, I took a shower and went to bed (at 6 oclock) I wasn't feeling spiffy. Woke up this morning and my eyes are almost swollen shut.
SERIOUSLY! I think I have some sun poisoning.......(and I don't know how that happened). I placed a call to my PC and am doing the cucumber thing again. It's not like I haven't seen any sun this summmer yet.

Maybe I'm reacting to the sunscreen?

Miss Pinky and I went for a 16 mile bike ride on Saturday, then went to see the new X-Men movie; it ROCKED! On Sunday Miss Pinky had volunteer work at church for the entire morning, so I went for what was supposed to be a 30 mile bike ride. It wound up being nearly 49 miles and boy howdy, it was HOT out there. An early evening rain shower cooled things down a bit, so we went to the library, then to Baskin Robbins for sundaes, which we enjoyed at an outside table. It was a wonderful weekend.

TIMBERWOLF 06-06-2011 06:46 AM

Went fishing at 6am with Mr Jenny, came home and took a shower.Took a nap.Sunday took a couple of naps and then the Thunderstorm hit.The wind blew off a couple of limbs outside and the power went out for 4 hrs. So WT and I went to a new Chinese buffet and when we were almost home the power came on.
Now getting ready for work........

I worked. (do you know how great it is to say that after 2+ years??!??)
And it was great! I was just a bit nervous - - but I only made 1 or 2 minor mistakes on Saturday, none on Sunday. Hopefully I'll be getting more hours soon.

My PCP said I am Dehydrated. I look like space martian and feel like crap.
Take motrin. Drink pedialyte (sp) and lay in the tub with cool water and cool towels laying on my skin. Stay out of the sun. OK, I got that!
Forget the pedialyte....(ever taste that?) I have gatorade. I asked him how I became dehydrated.....I loved this part he said Drinking in the sun will do that to you. I wasn't drinking anything but water.:|...then he changed his tune to, well sometimes it happens. He said I could go to the ER and get an
IV bag of liquids and that would help me feel better (to which I thought, yeah help the hospital feel better too$$$).

I can't wait till this stuff starts to peel! good by temporary tan.

I had the best weekend with my babe!! I cooked her dinner and we met some of my friends at a bar. The next day we went to the San Diego Zoo and out to our favorite retstaurant for drinks. I took her out dancing and we danced to her favorite song. The next day we got tipsy at a wine festival and listened to cool music. She left... And that ruined the rest of my Sunday.. Lol. I'll see her again on Wednesday! Yay!

I went to the movies Friday night with my son-we saw "X-Men." I LOVE that series. The movie was good-I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes that movie series. The background info was really interesting and there is a hilarious cameo by someone from the previous films.

Saturday, he went to his grandmother's house and I started getting ready for the event at my dungeon. I met up with a few select friends prior to the event so we could have dinner (tradition). Then, we headed over for an education demo that I got to bottom for. The presenter was teaching on how to take your scenes to the next level using energy. My time bottoming was mostly spent making lists on the whiteboard and reading from a passage about living in the moment. (Ahh the glam life of a demo bottom). Following the class, I helped with paperwork and club duties THEN I got to partake in a cutting scene. Now, I have a new pretty cutting to match my old pretty cutting---yay! (Anyone who wants to see a pic, let me know & I will text you one). Once it was over, I chatted with friends for a bit then cleaned the dungeon's kitchen and left-but it was after 2 when I got in.

Soooo----

Sunday, I was lazy as Hell and slept/dozed most of the day. I did manage to get some housework & grocery shopping done though.

I had the best weekend with the love of my life that we have had in a good long while.
With the hulabaloo and all of the projects it involved getting ready for bratboys graduation over, and him spending some quality time ( for us, if not so much for him) with his grandparents for a couple of weeks, we were able to just "BE".

We had no hurried schedule to complete, no one to entertain, no major building projects and were able to just chill, cook some yummy food, relax in the pool, take care of one another in ways we often put as a lower priority when the expectations of taking care of others takes precedence.

I am looking forward to the upcoming weekend as well as it will be our second weekend to ourselves. We pick up the boy the following week, so back to our normal. So, at least for this weekend, we can be in the house completely relaxed in our skivvies ( or less), we can buy special treats and actually still find them in the fridge, we can go to the bathroom without putting the seat down or being disgusted by the yellow stains, we can NOT argue about why teenage boys NEED to bathe...LOL! It truly is the little things that can make a life peaceful or not!

Love the boy, but I am too busy being IN LOVE with his mom for two weeks to miss him too much!

Hope everyone else is having grand weekends! (f)

Chuckles, it was a good weekend indeed. Awesome company/convo Saturday at lunch and at LVM.

Even the squealing coming down the hill and across the creek in my truck while ya had that stick shift lesson was funny.

It's simple out in the country, chuckles, coffee on the front porch, cookout at the parents, yep, good times.

Very pleasant weekend.

Saturday I worked most of the day , went out for snow cones Saturday evening ,
Sunday worked from home , Blaze help me bathe doggies. Then went out for lunch, Vietnamese food. Baked a chicken for dinner.
It was hot got to water my lawn Sunday morning. That's about it .
:whoop:

StillettoDoll 06-20-2011 04:23 AM

Saturday Blaze went to work with me , we need help. Then we attended a funeral that afternoon , my good friend's dad past away. Then to the wake and visited with all the family. Tough burying your dad a day before Father's day.

Sunday Me and Blaze went out for Daddy day brunch which was fabulous!
then took a drive through a park near us. Because it was just to damn hot to get out of the car!
Made fried cod for the first time , it was pretty good.

It was 100 degrees here all weekend. ughhh

This weekend, my father was admitted to the hospital, so spent all day Friday and Saturday there with him.. Sunday, i had to work a split shift, 7-10 and 130-7 .. time with my wonderful Daddy, and my daughter came home last night from Ottawa (went 5 days on her school trip and had an absolute blast)..

It was a busy weekend, but i managed to get in some meditation, lots of thinking and planning and organizing so that i can really get a good go of my new healthplan! i'm rockin' it =)

Wryly 06-23-2011 11:59 AM

Last weekend I moved. Strange that no matter how organized you are it seems that nothing ever goes right!
The upcoming weekend will be easier - - I work!
