Another Jenny? Yay! There's a whole bunch of us out there!! In "real life," I almost always go by Jen, but that's just since adulthood. As a child/teen/young adult, I was "Jenny." (And for one brief summer when I was 15, I defaulted to "Jennifer," thinking it was soooo grown-up... lol) On the "other site," I think I'm Jens44, which was a default user name given to me by eBay when I joined, years and years ago...

Jesse 07-30-2010 10:54 AM

Thinking mine pretty much speaks for itself...but you can call me Jesse. :)

JinxdGirl 07-30-2010 11:24 AM

Jinxd, because I am apparently anti-E.
Girl, because I am a girl.

I've had a billion different names in a million different places and this is just the one that fits me now. Maybe I'll stick around long enough to take root and the name will stay with me, or I'll wander off and be me with a different name somewhere else.

PS: D-Money, I'm almost positive I knew (in a very casual 'hi, how are you?' smile when we bumped into each other way) you with the other name you mentioned.

chefhmboyrd 07-30-2010 11:33 AM

My username means "intentionally too short and too common to be googled"

:)

Guy 07-30-2010 11:52 AM

As you can see I didn't put much thought into mine. :brainsucker:

MrSunshine 07-30-2010 12:02 PM

Believe it or not it has nothing to do with my fucking sunny disposition. I love the way the sun feels on my skin. The more Sunshine the more warmth. The rest is just what it is.

Wryly 07-30-2010 12:30 PM

My nic is a play on words - my RL name is Riley.

Plus wryly suits me as, once you get to know me, I have a dry sense of humour.

at this point i will let ppl call me any version and use any spelling- cuz i have used every single form over the years and i think i have lost the right to be picky!

BestButchBoy 07-31-2010 05:47 AM

BestButchBoy = An elegant swagger.

dixie 07-31-2010 06:07 AM

dixielady = the CB handle that was given to me when I was like 12 so it's easy to remember...plus, I'm just not that creative when it comes to myself. lol...I tend to have this username on every site that I've belonged to for a while. (can also be found as queerfemmeprincess on a few, but didn't feel like changing it here...lol)

Why would that be embarassing? I've nothing but respect for one of the most brilliant authors that ever lived. Cool story behind the name though :D

I liked the movies for what they were (saw them as separate from the books), but I was also kind of annoyed that they left out some key parts of the book. I don't think I'll ever forgive Peter Jackson for leaving out Tom Bombadil... But then again I am one of those types who actually counted the number of historical inaccuracies in Braveheart just for the shits n' giggles. Apparently I'm not very fun to watch movies based on books or history with lol

There are some great names from some great places! Anything Tolkien I'm a huge fan of. (If you get the chance, see the play "One Man Lord of the Rings" by Peter Ross. It is HYSTERICAL and so perfect for Tolkien lovers.)

My name comes from one of the characters in a book I was writing...faerie in nature, but dark and mysterious. It came in a dream and I loved it so much, I took it for myself, too!

tuffboi29 08-01-2010 03:37 PM

Tuff is my R/L nickname given to me by my Pa(grandfather).
A horse stepped on my foot breaking the bone in the top. That grumpy old man looked at me and said "You better not cry, girl." I didn't shed a tear even when they set and casted it. He started saying "Thats one tough girl." It got shortened to Tuffgirl...then later to Tuff.

When I was a few years older I read a book with a charcter called Tuffarious. To this day I still can't remember who the arthur was or what the book was called (if anyone knows PLEASE tell me it's driving me nuts). And now that I'm about to transition I decided to adopt Tuffarious as my legal name.

It just kinda seemed to go together.
