Meet your cast
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...rldgallery.jpg

I find im super excited to watch this season with the twists and the changes they have made it ought to be good.

Rockinonahigh 02-11-2012 10:57 AM

Yep, its gonna be diffrent game for shure.

Parker 02-11-2012 11:30 AM

Refresh my memory if I'm wrong - but didn't the tribe of women kick ass the last time they did a "battle of the sexes" female vs. male tribes?

This season should be fun to watch with both tribes living together .....

I stumbled on this thread thinking it was something else, so all I read were the first few posts.

I hope you know how offensive it is and how homophobic it is to use 'pansy' and 'sissy' as insults.

Don't bother to leave me rep notes telling me that I am oversensitive and that I misunderstood how the words were used.

I apologize to you that my words offended you in any manner. because i am not homophobic due largly to he fact that im queer, using the term pansy is a word i will express freely as it is my right to do so. again my apologies that you were offended in any way.

Sorry I ofended you,but I call it like I see it.

I appreciate that both gaea and Rockinonahigh responded to my post.

I know my post was a derailment, and I know that what I said was uncomfortable.

I guess I'll just say that at the public school where I teach, it isn't permitted to call someone a pansy ass or a sissy.

It's so recent that queer kids have any protection at all in public schools and

I am grateful that my students have some legal recourse against hate language.

Since you mentioned the word derailment, I would appreciate it if you do not watch the show survivor that you do not come into this thread chastising those of us that do happen to watch and are long time fans for discussing what we see.

This thread allows for us to discuss behaviors, actions, straight up game players, the ones we cant stand stand and the players we all love and want to see win.

This thread was created for that purpose to have conversations about the various players and outcomes of the show weekly. As that is our right, this thread poses no harm to anyone on this site i assure you if anyone in this thread were to be harmful to another person on this site within this thread it would be handled immediately.

All of the Survivor fans that i have engaged with in this thread and elsewhere have shown nothing but respect towards all persons.

thank you,

gaea 02-12-2012 07:42 PM

respectfully my apologies to anyone who took offense to a post i made several months ago.

I assure you that I do not use words to demean anyone especially when it comes to using the word "pansy" i do not associate that word as "female" nor "male" oriented. Nor do i believe one sex to be weaker than the other especially.

So my apologies to Chancie for anything i have said in the past that have made you feel as though i were being homophobic or any such thing, as i assure you I am not homophobic.

respectfully your's,

gaea 02-14-2012 10:43 PM

Im so excited for tomorrow

I so look forward to having weekly discussions about the contestants with everyone that watches. I know im the last to see it...I cant wait. This is the one show i will rearrange my schedule to watch.

YAY..

Parker 02-14-2012 10:52 PM

This is one of the few shows I will either watch "live" or if I watch it on my TiVo, it's maybe a few hours after the show airs.

I hope this is a good one. :)

gaea 02-14-2012 10:55 PM

i suspect it will be especially with all the new changes..

gaea 02-15-2012 09:04 PM

Colten

I adore him already!
Kourtney...i adore her too

gaea 02-15-2012 10:05 PM

02/15/12 Kourtney

well, for me i liked her im sorry she broke her wrist....
And its Kourtney
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...rtney_Moon.jpg

A broken wrist in 2 places requiring surgery OUCH! I broke mine and it didn't require surgery and i hurt i cant even imagine the pain she must be in.

I love Colten he had me clapping my hands like a little kid.

I do hope the women unite though it would be good to see that. I was counting on the Chelsea to be able to start fire the way i watched her snatch up those chickens and stuff...

so im pulling for the women to come together and be a team a solid team and work together ....I would really like to see that as cattiness is just icky...so come on gals show me some pride ...please ....

Rockinonahigh 02-15-2012 10:58 PM

Both teams need to stop the pettyness imhop, sorry that Kortney got hurt but if she had followed Jeffs instructions on how to fall into the net she may not have gotten hurt.Next week should be intresting when the mens team find out the womens didnt evict anyone.

Parker 02-15-2012 11:59 PM

Too bad about the break - I liked Kourtney as well - all those tats and a motorcycle mech, hell yeah! :bandana:

You know, half way through that episode I actually asked myself: "what the fuck am I watching???"

I mean, what did they do, seek out and cast the most egotistical, domineering, sexist men they could find?

When I heard them make the deal of working together and sharing chickens, I knew the men were bullshitting because they *just* stole all sorts of things from them women in the truck-grab. So when that woman (Cheslea?) caught 2 chickens and the men surrounded her, closing in, saying which one do we get and she balked, I was happy.

But the way the men acted for the rest of the show, calling the women chicks, ignoring the fact that they stole goods from the women and just harping on and on about the damn chickens, etc.

Wow.

I may not be able to watch this season, man.

gaea 02-16-2012 07:08 AM

Well....

Lets see i thought that bargaining for the fire wasn't so bad..if they had kept it alive after they stole it they wouldn't have had to bargain for it...Im not all together sure how i feel about that however it is what it is I know me personally i would have been like um no hello we can make fire...then again that's just who i am kinda stubborn like that.

The women all not working together immediately may harm them...I am hoping that they will come together and unite as a team.

Its going to be an interesting season for sure.

JustJo 02-16-2012 07:34 AM

I think Survivor just lost me as a viewer....

I've been watching on and off since the first season....some shows more than others, depending on the personalities involved.

I'm getting really turned off by the people now. They used to have interesting varieties of participants....and now they all seem like wanna be models and tv celebrities that are using this as their launching pad.

Blech. I don't want to watch a show that consists primarily of posing and cattiness. If Survivor brings back some of the interesting personalities and backgrounds, and depends less on appearances.....I may come back....but, for now, I'm out.
