It is ok, just fine, normal to have feelings

Thanks honey :)

There's a long road ahead to forgiving myself for fucking up my body so badly. I am not who I want to be now....but I'm working towards becoming who I want to be. The me who I am.

Candace, you are such a darling person. Like ami, I don't know what happened last time, but I can guess. It's so difficult when you are at the point that you are. You're still figuring out what is best for you and are making some strong and well-defined but also some tentative and unsure changes and the last thing you need is negativity coloring your world. Let them have their own damn coloring book. Yours is taken! Hugs and a little :ohm: for you and some :nyahnyah: and :spider: for them.

I love you.

I totally know that everyone has a life. So, I'm going to keep posting, and hope that everyone will come back so I'm not talking to myself.

So, today I decided to go back to school. I found a school in lower washington that has an LPN to RN program which I am uber excited about. So, I have to take a few more pre-req courses before I can apply. They even have an online option where I only have to drive up there a few weeks out of the whole program. WHOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

So, if all of my plan goes right I will be at my first weight loss goal (250), in an RN program and have all of my debt paid off by this time next year!!!!!! WHOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has become pretty easy to stay on top of my calories. Though, I have been working every day so I haven't had time to sit around and snack. Also, by the time I get off of work most restaurants are closed :) I have been tempted a few times to stop off at like taco bell or burger king. I had to talk myself out of it.....and breath a few deeps breaths and relax.

The only thing I'm can't quite do is stop the smoking. I'm still doing about 3-5 a day, which is WAY less than what I was doing before. I also can't seem to work up the courage to get back to the gym. My ankle is starting to feel better and I know I should get in there...but......blegh.

Anyway I'm going to the community college on Wednesday to take care of registration for my pre-req courses.

WOOHOOO Good Morning Biggest Losers! I hope that everyone's week is off to a happy, healthy start!

CONGRATS Candace on heading back to school. See, positive changes are taking place in your life. Good for you for continuing to learn, grow and making a better future for yourself. I am hella proud of you for not falling into the late night eating traps... something I myself can be so guilty of. You've done awesome honey, keep up the good work. As for the smoking kick... at least you have cut down. I KNOW that it is damn near impossible to do 2 drastic life changes at the same time, so I applaud you for cutting back on the smoking treats. You'll be able to quit in the near future... I see it!

As for me, honestly I haven't even stepped on a scale. I KNOW that I've gained weight... I can tell by the way my clothes fit (or better yet, don't fit right). But, I have started paying more attention to what I've been eating and started walking with one of my girlfriends. Not to mention, as much as I hate to say it, trying to cut back on the Diet Cokes. Yes, I know they are Diet, but research shows that although they have no calories, they still aren't good for you. So, I've been trying to drink as much water (with Crystal Light added) as possible. It's tough when those afternoon caffeine headaches kick in and I really want a Diet Coke.

I am going on vacation to Mexico in April, so I wanna lose a little weight before my trip. It's my motivation right now... along with all of you!

Everyone has been doing an awesome job... let's keep it up!

amiyesiam 01-26-2010 11:18 AM

You are not talking to yourself!

Has anyone ever read the label on crystal light and other to go drink mixes?

Well I did recently. Did you know each tube is 2 (two) 2 servings?
Really that is just wrong. When was the last time you shared your water?
That does explain why they say to add it to 16 oz of water.

I have read the labels on those suckers and I got a chuckle out of it too because, really, what are you going to do with the remainder of the powder once you open it if you don't have 16 ounces of water then? Prop the packet up on the counter, I suppose, but if anyone is like me, they'd just knock it over and if the counter is wet......*sigh*......red blotch on said counter.

Considering it's still only about 10 calories for the whole thing and has much less sugar and/or sweetener than diet sodas, I'm not too irritated with them.

Can you imagine how TINY the packages would be if they actually came in SINGLE servings? lol

For those of you who haven't been working out regularly, it's just fine to go for a walk. There are thousands of people out there who have taken of lots of weight just walking 30-60 minutes a day. Now I realize that California has been inundated with rain over the last 10 days, and it's butt ass cold in the rest of the country, but when we get a break, a nice walk outside will do every one of us good. I got a 2 miler in yesterday and it felt great. (The :dog: likes it too)

For those of you who smoke, you'll find the more you walk and work out, the less you'll want to smoke and eventually you'll be able to just quit.

Keep it up, y'all are amazing!

christie 01-27-2010 11:51 AM

I stepped on the scale this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Down 7lbs. Considering I am retaining water like the Mississippi River (its nearing "that" time), I was really really happy.

Jess's cousin just posted a pic of me on her facebook from last February. I am more than appalled. I was ginormous. I suppose I need new pics.

:clap::clap: yay me.

Congrats hun on setting some goals.

Never talking to yourself. I'm always here, just quiet since I really don't have to lose weight. I just have to eat healthy. So I feel a little akward chiming in.

When you feel temptation settin in feel free to text me. There's been a few times I've been tempted and just the thought of textin you has been enough to keep me from the little debbie swiss rolls.

I have one dr that when i had my neck surgeries walking was the physical therapy he prescribed. I eventually felt I needed more but it is amazing what walking can do.

I need to get back at it but have plenty of excuses besides the weather.

My dad lives in wi and when he can't walkd outside he has a place at the university to go. I know a lot of malls open up early for walking also. If you are in an area where school security isn't as big of a thing there might be a school you can walk in also. Always seem to be alternatives.

So when i've wanted something sweet lately I've been throwing an apple in the little toater oven and baking it then throwing some cinnamon on it and low and behold on the biggest loser they suggested the same thing except using a micorwave. I prefer the toaster oven myself.

It's amazing how many naturally sweet things are out there. Honestly I usually enjoy them more, I just eat the others not even as much for comfort as for distraction. Just like I use the damn arcade on here to distract me from my life.

She's doing great! She's my inspiration! I heart her!

The deal for me now is to not backtrack.....I get excited about this and I sometimes think, 'oh good....let me celebrate with this pizza'....

And THAT'S the kind of behavior that must change for me personally. And I am doing it. :ballerina:

This was me from Sept 18th, til October 31st last fall. I thought i lost the love of my life, i stopped eating, stopped drinking soda, started smoking more and lost 48lbs.

I however, gained back 7 so far. I went down 4 sizes in jeans, it helped me in a sense, but it was not the right way to lose the weight.

My next lifes journey is about to start in a few weeks and i'm hoping to make better changes.

I commend ya'll.

I gotta get that Biggest Loser cookbook
