How much I respect honesty....even though the content can still hurt....the sting is less intense and shorter lived....

.....although the content still hurts....

Not a chance! I'm the snow ninja. :ninja:

I like it but the idea of it, at least for the next 17 days, makes me :twitch:.

For the past 3 years, there's been a HUGE storm here between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The kind of storm that knocks out people's power/heat for weeks. Icky storms that no one wishes on their enemy. So, I won't relax until December 26th. Then, it can snow. I shall allow it.

On my mind now is that I just cried while watching a half hour Disney special called Prep & Landing. Yep, I'm a wuss. :blues:

Gemme,

I had to laugh at your posts on snow. Snow IS everywhere! :anothersnowman: But I have no snow either. I think I may have to join your snow ninja team. :ninja: I think in order for us to have a snowball fight with anyone, we will have to travel north...maybe to Canada.:canada::snowballfight: I will take the :scooter: and you can :flying:. :cheesy:

What's on my mind... learning to live

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF2loBxux48"]YouTube- Beth Hart - Learning To Live[/ame]

I keep my head on straight
And my eyes wide open
I try to move forward
Wishing and hoping
I took a hold of myself
In the middle of November
Don稚 you look back now
Is all I can remember

I feel like I知 leaving
Like I知 leaving home
Like the clouds are parting, and I知 not alone

I知 learning to live
Living to learn
Starting to sing my song
Right, or wrong
Breaking away
Setting me free
Free to be, my own me
I知 learning to live

I got my vanity crisis
From my beautiful mother
I知 not gonna go there
I知 anything other
Take another deep breath now
It痴 just one more hurdle
I知 breaking this line
Before it comes full circle

I feel like I知 leaving
Like I知 leaving home
Like the clouds are parting, and I知 not alone

I知 learning to live
Living to learn
Starting to sing my song
Right, or wrong
Breaking away
Setting me free
Free to be, my own me

I found a place, where I can lay my shit down
Somewhere that I can finally be myself - be myself

NotAnAverageGuy 12-09-2009 05:16 PM

that my neighbors are all gonna get whats coming to them in the long run, they have already been warned by management, several times I may add and I can't wait till that day comes and I can finally get some quiet around here till I can get the money up to move.

I haven't been posting enough. My brain has been so preoccupied with sorting all of this stuff out... I should be posting anyway... getting it out of my head and releasing it so I can look at it more objectively is a good thing... doesn't matter now anyway, all sorted, and looking so wonderful for the future right now. I love my life.

Times are tough, people are cutting back everywhere, even at work. My profitable firm has completely scaled back the holiday party the last couple of years. They bought less Christmas cards to send to clients (my boss isn't sending any this year). I've noticed we've received less cards already, too. The firm has also implemented different HR policies, such as forcing us to use our personal time off on mandated days, not days we choose, to save money (somehow).

Carmex lip balm does WONDERS for chapped and sore hands, elbows and heals!! WONDERS! Better than ANY lotion I have ever used. My mom uses it on her thumbs and palms where she has eczema and she really sees/feels a difference. It makes the skin supple & keeps it from cracking. Then, when a friend had really chapped skin on her hands so bad they would crack & bleed (she worked on her poultry farm in the nasty cold & wet weather), we gave her a bag of the little jars of Carmex...she started using it daily like lotion and within a week her skin had improved considerably. Plus, if she used it before going outside to work, it gave her hands a barrier to the cold air. I used it often when I worked in cold warehouses and my hands would get very raw... LOVE IT!! (but it does burn just a tad when you apply it to chapped/cracked skin...but it soon becomes soothing.) A trick I learned was to apply it after a warm bath before bed and wear gloves or socks for a short time to allow it to soak in. http://www.mycarmex.com/our-products/default.aspx

Thanks for the suggestion!

I use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula, which works great for me as a general rule. But my skin is so sensitive and dry and cracks like nobody's business that it's actually treated best by prescription creams. I just don't have the money to get to the dermie and to pay for the good stuff this year so I am rationing out the remaining stuff I have left.

In the meantime, it hurts. :(

Irrational thoughts...

Surayna 12-11-2009 06:43 PM

I am so tired, and so frustrated with this flood. Just discovered my kids baby books and the notebooks of letters I kept for them when I was pregnant are all soaked and ruined. I am beyond frustrated at this point.

The landlord is being a prick. We are cleaning all this up ourselves, even though it was none of the tenants fault this happened. I suspect I am going to end up having to get a lawyer to get compensated for the time and effort we are having to put into this.

As for the stuff that is ruined, no telling if any of us will be compensated. He was negligent in that he knew the roof was having problems and he hasn't fixed it. It was because of the roof problems that the pipe froze. It was because he poured hot water on the frozen pipe that it burst. This sucks!
