Snow showers all day long but thankfully, not much accumulation. Over the next few days, the temps will drop crazy and it will be Corkey's gift to me at around -8 at night and zero with wind chill.

It's -2 but feels like -22. Winds have calmed to about 20 mph.
It's a bit nipply out there. I took the trash and recycling out and, in the 6 or so minutes it took me, my uncovered hands started to sting they were so cold. Brrrrr..... |
First let me say I'm loving this spring weather, big condolences to those who have to live in the cold and snow please be careful and take care of yourself.
Today it was 59* sunny with a bit of wind now and then, tomorrow is supposed to be about the same. Today I got out for a while to get some sun plus go to the store, I noticed all the tulip trees have bloomed fully with pedals on the ground. The dog wood trees are in bloom as well...maybe the ground hog was right. |
It looks deceptively beautiful outside. It's bright and the sun is shining. In actuality, it's about 8 degrees with a wind chill of -2 or so. It depends on if it's gusting 40 mph or not, really. I'm pretty sure it drops down to -20 in the midst of a good gust but it's okay. It's dry and that is what makes it a good day for me during the winter. Any day I don't have to deal with new snow and slush and freezing rain is a good day.

Today is going to be great! Well, not at first. At first it will be cold. But dry. Dry is good. Then it will be damp as it will snow later tonight. Normally, that sucks but tonight it will not be so bad because it will get wet. Very wet. Snow changes to rain and the temps go from the negatives to around 50 and they will stay above freezing, during the day, for about a week or so.

Currently, the sun's trying to break free from the clouds and the ground's wet from all the rain this morning and snow and rain last night. Soon, the clouds will take over and it will rain buckets of cats and dogs and maybe a giraffe or two, but it will do it with temps in the 50s so I'm super okay with that. Melt this snow and wash it away!

32* feels like 24* 6-7 inches of new wet snow. Thankfully a neighbor came over and used his snow thrower on the last of the driveway. Just ran outta poop.... not that poop. By the week end up to 50*. Mother nature is trying to kill me.

It's supposed to hit 44 today. Cloudy, but the temps will still work to melt some snow so I can't fuss about that. Unless something crazy happens...knock on wood...we won't see new snow again for about a week.

Of the next 10 days, 1 will be sunny, 1 will be windy and cloudy, 1 will be snowy and the rest will be rainy. I foresee a fast-growing lawn in my near future.
