An email from the right woman made me smile today

After 5 hours in ER, I smiled politely at the Dr that finally showed up and told me he wasn't qualified to remove the splinter in my hand and I should come back Monday. It was all I could do to hold back from punching him and driving that splinter in even further.

Talking with my girl (f) on the phone. Reading our horoscopes and 2014 Chinese horoscopes, which we enjoy reading for pleasure and hope all the good it says comes true and all the negative, well we don't believe :p lol We got a good laugh ;)

Made the final table (4th) and took home a nice payday! I might have gotten further but i started getting tired and was unable to stay focused...a bad combo when playing poker.

I'll try again when I'm completely well.:hangloose:

Shameless is on in 30 minutes and the day is thankfully coming to in end in 3 hours and 28 minutes (I am not counting or anything)

Waking up to my 7 yr old grandson sleeping next to me after a sleepover and a fun night of roasting hotdogs and marshmallows over an open fire outside, eating snacks and playing computer games. I love that little man with all my heart. :)

Lots of sunshine and blue skies.
very happy pets and farm critters
lots of happy wild birdies and twitterpaited squirrels.
not living in the city...no pressures of the city

smiling because I'm thankful for living in such a beautiful place
there's a sharp chill to the air but this is perfect for sitting quietly on the deck with hot coffee giving contrast to the cold...being very still to bird watch because I've been delighted to find rare birdies I've never seen before ...and was thrilled last night to hear that our Killdeer are back. Hopefully they will hatch lots of sweet babies this year. I sure have missed them the past 2 years.

A "good morning" text..followed by a brief phone call.. Gonna be a great day..

Surprisingly wonderful text messages from someone who usually ignores me. :rrose:

Ricki Racer , my scaredy cat, hearing the wind, her eyes really big, ears twitching, racing from room to room,

then...the wind howling down the fireplace....BIG SCAREDY CAT, she puffed all up, and hissed as she looked around.

On the couch now, cuddled with the senior cat under a blanket together. I hear her purring.
