YAY YAY YAY! So what is your availability? Must plan things now.

Okay. I looked this up. You are going to be up by the love that is Pup and Oiler. I'd say Texas Land and Cattle but I'm not clear on their vegan menu (it's a steak house.) How are you with spicy?

Depends on the spice. Otherwise, if I can't get vegan, I'll go as far as fish so that place will do.

Here are several places in Your area, Linus.....several different ciusines, most have ~ if not vegan ~ then vegetarian.

I would suggest that we do the dinner thing that Sunday evening of Your arrival. Will You be too tired for that?

Bombay Bistro (Indian)
10710 Rsearch Blvd

Cheesecake Factory (Continental)
10,000 Research

Drunk Fish (Sushi)
Arboretum

Fire Bowl Cafe
Chinese Fast Food (with great reviews)
9828 Great Hills Trail

Fujiyama Japanese
4815 W. Braker

Minh's Cafe (Chinese/Vegetarian)
12221 Riata Trace Pkway. Suite 190

PF Chang's (Chinese, Vegetarian)
10114 Jollyville

I hope that helps.....

Ebon and I should be able to make that if it's a bit later. I won't be home until 5pm, at the earliest, and then there's the drive there.

Linus, Ebon and I can still do something on that Wednesday too, if you find yourself not too tired from work and wanting some company. :)

I'm sure that Linus will be doing something on Wednesday. I've claimed familial rights and basically TOLD him (lol) that he will be doing something Sunday and Wednesday.

HEY! He's my little brother so I get to boss him aeound. A bit. Sometimes.

I vote SUSHI on Sunday. :) Of course, if Linus agrees. lol

Drunk Fish seems to be closed on Sundays.
FireBowl doesn't have good group seating.

Linus 01-11-2011 09:25 AM

I *LOVE* sushi.

Arwen 01-11-2011 10:39 AM

Sushi open on Sunday:

http://www.yelp.com/biz/mikado-ryotei-austin

http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc...c=Austin%2C+TX is the whole list

Linus 01-11-2011 10:48 AM

I vote for Mikado but I'm going to rely on the rest of you if you know if others are better. :)

cinderella 01-11-2011 12:07 PM

What a woman!!! Gal after my own heart!!!

Reminds me of that song from South Pacific..."They've got to be taught at an early age...." - which has nothing to do with the subject at hand, but that's how my mind rolls...off on unrelated tangents. Now, who's the 'flibbertygibbet'? lol

Sadly, I've only been to one sushi place in Austin. The incredible Chon Sum in Plugerville. Mmmmm

Julie 01-11-2011 12:35 PM

Not ME!
I am not happening in Austin!
I need to happen - DAMMIT.

Ebon 01-11-2011 02:13 PM

Arwen asked me to post this on here:

Can you hop on the planet and do a note about welcoming Linus to Austin with a dinner at Pappadeaux’s at 6:30pm on Sunday January 23rd? We can’t do reservations after 5 and they only seat complete parties.

My job is done.
